There’s conflicting evidence about the links between smoking marijuana and cancer. There’s no evidence that it’s in the same league as smoking tobacco. There’s even some evidence that THC (the active ingredient in M.J.) is an anti-carcinogen. Also, vaporizing is known to be safer than smoking (for both tobacco and M.J.)

If actuarial evidence eventually shows that smoking M.J. causes increased health problems, then that could be addressed with an insurance surcharge (as now applies to tobacco smokers).

I have a cousin just diagnosed with laryngeal cancer. Has never smoked but will spend his last dime on pot instead of food. How’s that for evidence? ;)

That's really funny, you meant it to be funny right? Just keep toking it up, life is probably really fun in a fog.

Let’s ask Bob Marley about that. Oh wait, we can’t. He died of lung cancer from smoking pot!!
Nobody deeply inhales to tobacco, but they all deep hit pot. Yea, that’s healthy!!!

That's because the raw amount of smoke is much lower -- Lots of people have multiple-pack-a-day cigarette habits; I doubt that even Cheech and Chong ever had a multiple-pack-a-day joint habit.
