Conservative pundits are already speculating about the crash that reportedly killed 295 people
Rush Limbaugh already has a conspiracy theory about Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which crashed earlier today near the border of Ukraine and Russia. He believes that this tragedy, which reportedly killed 295 people, is a great way for the media to stop focusing on the crisis at the border.
He spouted this nonsense during his radio show today. From the show’s transcript:
“Holy cow, folks. Have you seen the news? A Malaysian Airlines flight has been shot down by a missile over Ukraine, at least according to an advisory to Ukraine’s interior ministry. The Interfax News Agency — which has nothing to do with fax machines

If Salon says so one is unhinged you can take the inverse as true, and you can always view Salon as unhinged.

Every time the Lyin’ King gets caught with his pants down, something horrible happens which diverts the public from the scandal.
Horrific school shootings, explosions in gas refineries, train wrecks, etc all seem to occur right on cue.
But it could be just the fact that the Lyin’ Kings scandals are so frequent, that these events ALWAYS interrupt SOMETHING.
It has gotten so bad that you know what a “conspiracy theory” REALLY is, now?

MH17 is an important story, sure, but don’t fool yourself —this could have been someone’s frisbee and you’d have the same coverage volume.
They want desperately to continue ignoring the train wreck that he’s making America into.

The fact of the matter is that Obama never has to answer for any scandal because he merely waits for the next Big News Event to wipe the previous scandal off the Etch-A-Sketch screen and vanish into the memory hole.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 is a great way for the media to stop focusing on the crisis at the border.

Who remembers what the media focus was before MH 370's disappearance?
