I read earlier that MH17’s flight plan was officially cleared by Malaysian Airlines in Kuala Lumpur.
Ok. From what I had read it was on its normal route when it was redirected to a slightly more northern path to avoid weather. But I couldn’t tell you if that northern diversion was actually planned before the flight took off or if in was an in-air correction. Guess we will have to wait to see how that plays out.
