A Malaysian passenger airliner with 295 people on board crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, Interfax cited an aviation industry source as saying on Thursday.

When “ISIS” was reportedly shelling Baghdad airport, I was watching the radar. Amazing how many civilian aircraft were flying over that airspace (30K ft to other destinations) AND how many were still landing at Baghdad airport. Especially scary concerning all the MiSSING manpads from Libya.
I was kidding you. LOL Who is “petronski”?
Hi FRiend!
This was no accident... I think it’s revenge for whatever went on with MH370. We’ll know if this particular flight was singled out by the passenger manifest.
Not confused at all, and respectfully disagree. Unless Putin is delusional (which I think he is not), he realizes that Russia's prestige is only based on untapped hydrocarbon and a stack of ICBMs. He has to realize that he does not have the infrastructure to be "the" dominant world power anytime soon. China is the real threat in that department.
On the other hand, if Putin can hand his populous a few imperial crumbs ........ his popularity remains in place, and he stays in power in perpetuity.
Russian commander of terrorists Girkin already admitted they shot down the plane and Russian media confirmed it. The story only changed when it was reported to be an airliner. Case closed.
....”It is a very curious coincidence that it is a Malaysian Airline plane given the disappearance of the other flight”....
Well being it was over a war zone....and so close to the border...you would think a pilot would have better judgement.

These onboard maps are never 100% accurate anyway. Also, due to other air traffic, turbulence, headwinds, etc, the route can easily be 20-50 KM from the intended path, as directed by air traffic controllers.
I’m a window seat guy, and fly Delta from Atlanta - Seattle- Atlanta multiple times a year, and we never follow the same exact path. For example, last month we flew directly over Omaha, Nebraska, but the return had us at least 100 miles south of there.
Pretty graphic pic here. So sad. http://rt.com/news/173628-malaysian-plane-crash-ukraine/
Probably already mentioned, but 18 years ago today, TWA 800 went down.
Mistakes can still be made by trained personnel with sophisticated systems. See the USS Vincennes incident in July 1988. The USS Stark was hit by an Iraqi launched Exocet about 1 year prior.
Dust certainly hasn’t settled yet...and even when it does the facts presented will be already pre-determined. Similar to Odessa Tragic events....the truth was a long time actually revealed for what it was. By then people weren’t interested.
No, they're not admitting to anything.
I bet the US knows EXACTLY where the missile originated from... but I wonder if we'll help find the perps or instead opt to let confusion reign.
Kemlin claiming that Putin told Obama about the crash during the call.
What we can't speculate or hypothesize here at FR anymore? Dang... stop the presses bubba. :)
Are you sure it wasn't a Yak-3?
Now reporting malaysian aircraft was shot down by Ukraine SU fighter jet.....nothing confirmed yet...many varied responses from all parties.

Give me a break. Was this RT or Lifenews? The terrorists own leader Girkin admitted they shot down what they thought was an AN. This is truly pathetic.
