The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration and Refugee Services has published its 2011 annual report.
According to the report, over 92.5% of Migration and Refugee Services $72.1 million budget came from federal grants and contracts, while under $25,000 came from private donations.
Nearly 80% of expenses were allotted to diocesan programs and direct assistance to refugees and other clients. In 2011, Migration and Refugee Services resettled 14,285 people--25% of refugees entering the United States.
Between 2006 and 2011, Migration and Refugee Services assisted 2,735 victims of human trafficking before the Department of Health and Human Services controversial decision not to renew its grant to the USCCB.
During 2011, Migration and Refugee Services also advocated for the passage of the DREAM Act.

(BTW, as a practicing Catholic, I am utterly outraged by this kind of thing).
Just like Mike Huckabee...its easy to be “Christian” with other people’s money.
and the Baptists were outraged by the 50 million dollar Baptist resort for illegals too.
I assume this is all sour fruit of Bush’s “faith based initiative” boondoggle.
$72.1 million was stolen from people’s wages
under $25,000 was voluntarily given
Paul’s admonition against being unequally yolked comes to mind.
Sounds like some of our churches are finding it very lucrative to cozy up to the Federal government.
As we saw with the secularation of most of our older Catholic colleges, when you take from the government you become less and less Catholic.
No wonder American bishops are such supporters of more and bigger government.
Notice the libs don’t seem to have an itch about “separation of church and state” so long as the cause suits their desires.
So.. I wonder what His Popeness, Fast Frankie, has to say about this..
Oh, never mind...
I stopped giving $ at mass two yrs ago when the archbishops appeal was advertised with a video, during the homily, no less, was all about giving to Hispanics, and the archbishop asking, and in a strong accent suggesting he doesn’t speak our language on a regular basis
These people, with power, the bishops, when they immigrate from another country, when they gain citizenship, they are not by law allowed to effect legislation
They are certainly not allowed to promote illegal behavior
The catechism, paragraph 2241, states that promoting illegal immigration is NOT allowed
I go to Mass for communion. Once in awhile I and my family have to endure a sermon or prayer of the faithful from a bonehead position to boneheaded congregation about supporting poor people fleeing something that we are supposed to help out
Never a word about giving to veterans who gave to this country
Only these takers
Not a penny do I give and I remind them of why every once in awhile
I go for communion
“$72.1 million budget came from federal grants and contracts”
Well I guess sense the Catholic Church is in bed with the
liberal/fascist and the homos, we can expect to see a
new state religion emerge from it’s ashes. They have chosen
the side they want to be on, fascism.
“I stopped giving $ at mass two yrs ago”
Oh great, thanks to you the Church was forced to go to
Satan himself for the dough. /S.
It’s a shame the Church willingly made a deal with the devil.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, as
a principal, holds money over God, religion and country.
Catholics and Republicans, turn of the century sell outs
that helped fascism to world power.
