The beautiful Palm Aire resort and hotel has an indoor Olympic sized pool and an outdoor pool. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV are included in the simply decorated guest rooms.
The Palm Aire Hotel and Suites is set to be sold to Baptist Child & Family Services (BCFS) operating under a federal contract, pending local government approval, according to reports from Weslaco, Texas where the hotel is located. Weslaco is a few miles north of the Rio Grande in Hidalgo County.
The resort hotel for illegal alien children is reportedly the first in the nation.
Now this
Due to backlash the charity received after the story was posted on The Drudge Report, Baptist Child and Family Services withdrew its bid for the Palm Aire Resort.
The charity said it was disappointed and that the resort would have been perfect for the illegal alien children.

I’m trying to figure out how I can afford to take my grandson and one of his friends to the hill country for three days because the government is taking my money to pay for a vacation for illegals. Something is wrong with this picture.
Baptist churches in Tx aint nothing like the small congregations we had in the North.
Good too see that some have sense.
That’s one of the funniest graphics I have ever seen!
One of my favorite movies.
The only thing that happened is they got caught.
Just think of how "perfect" it would be for AMERICAN children!
Will you look at that beautiful hotel. Just damn! How many people in our own nation would love to live in a setting like that, but can’t afford it.
This is getting way out of control folks. We’re going to see a mutiny before this is over.

BCFS President Kevin Dinnin met with Obama on his most recent Texas visit at Lackland Air Base (where contractors were told to keep their mouths shut about what they saw), so this gang is tied directly the White House.
That is funny, and I’m so glad Ramirez is on our side.
What a great political cartoon!
Now they probably get to just ‘pocket’ the fifty million bucks of taxpayer money......
Which, now that I think about it, was probably the plan from the beginning.
Obama is planting the seeds of Revolution.
What a fool.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Thanks for spreading the word. BCFS appears to be a liberal, suck-ass kinda place. No wonder they dropped Baptist from their official name.
Obviously Baptist Child & Family Services (BCFS) is a business and should be taxed as a business.
The Baptist Church and the Catholic Church has been in bed with Obama from the start regarding amnesty for those who have broken our laws. It is time we started taxing them both as the businesses they are. Tax their income and tax their properties. They always want to “do good” with other peoples money, it is time they know what it is like to have the government take away what is yours to give to someone the government deems more deserving.
It looks like it was an intended purchase of a facility that had seen better days. And not necessarily with the intent of keeping all the luxuries of those better days (for example, they’d probably fill in the pool, convert gyms into more residential rooms, etc.). They’re possibly figuring what the hey, they can evangelize a big group of kids.
But the optics were simply atrocious... and one thing I have to chuckle at (having sat in on a Baptist business meeting) is that Baptists and optics don’t always go all that well together. Explaining how something might work to the good isn’t always their forte.
Probably figuring that “well, the government is going to award it to somebody, might as well be us.”
But there is such a thing as tainted dough. It looks like they were more sensitive to it on the Baptist side than the Catholic side would be.
