Of course, the liberals would say that Obama is never truly on vacation, because the president is in touch 24-7 with everyone should a crisis happen while he’s away from Washington.

These same liberals criticized Bush for taking so much vacation time, and never would admit that Bush was in touch 24-7 when at the ranch.

Some extreme liberals even blamed Bush for 9-11, in that, he was at the ranch for most of August 2001. They claimed that the warning in the presidential daily briefing on 8-6-01, that Bin Laden wanted to hijack airplanes, should have gotten him back to Washington to take action to prevent 9-11.

But I think Obama will get a break from liberals and the media, with the fallback position that a president is never out of touch, never really on vacation.

Most presidents are never out of touch, even on vacation. With Obama it is the opposite- he seems disconnected even when he IS there.

The Obama that is never truly on vacation...the Obama that no one knows his whereabouts the afternoon/evening Sep 11, 2012? The Obama, the Low Information President (LIP) that is quoted in so many press releases on so many scandals, so many problems, so many disruptions that "he just read it, just heard it, just saw it on the news"?? That omnipresent Obama?
