I hear that there are wealthy prospertiy church heads behind it and I’m wondering why on earth they would do this other than for attention? I thought maybe it’s due to big business donors that need migrant workers that sit on the boards of coporations that manage the churches. Anyone else know why they might do this?

600 beds, $50 million per year. That’s about 83K per alien per year. Seems high to me.
Check the affiliations of the owners. Have they bundled contributions for the Democrats, or bought plates at any dinners, or contributed to any speaking fees lately?
