They had a term for her, but I've forgotten it. It was a name applied to a person who could not say no to a door-to-door salesman. The one I remember from my brief career selling magazines was totally upfront about her intentions. "I'll buy whatever you're selling," she said.
I sold her Esquire and two other subscriptions. Salesmen back then had a name for such people. Today, I would call them conservatives. They, too, will buy anything.
The current evidence for this is Edward Klein's latest book, "Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. the Obamas." It has just jumped over Hillary Clinton's own book, "Hard Choices," on The New York Times best-seller list and zoomed past it on Amazon. The problem with Clinton's book is that it doggedly presents her as she really is. The virtue of Klein's book is that it presents a Hillary Clinton who is a right-winger's harridan, obscene, dishonest and likely to say the most astonishing things. You did not know, probably, how foul-mouthed and indiscreet she is.
Not too many pages into the book, Hillary purportedly tells a reunion of college friends what she really thinks of Barack Obama. The time is May 2013, the location is a Westchester County restaurant called Le Jardin du Roi, and the wines are Chateau Hyot Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux and Croix de Basson, cheap stuff. Obama, Clinton tells about half a dozen women, "has turned into a joke." "Incompetent and feckless," she adds.
And then, with the wine possibly loosening her tongue, she does a spot-on imitation of my basic training drill sergeant. There's "no hand on the [censored] tiller." "And you can't trust the [censored]" because "his word isn't worth [censored]."

You mean like, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor?"
Who will buy anything? “War on Women;” “Shovel Ready Jobs;” “Cash for Clunkers;”” Recovery Summer;”” My Parents Met at Selma;””Al Quada is decimated; “ “Border security is Stronger than ever; “ “You can keep your doctor; “ “ Not in front of the children” (I’m too tired to go on.)
i’m waiting for the “candid” obama assessment of hillary... this could be fun !
Sure I’ll buy anything because I’ve got money. Buy her book? I don’t think so.
Jealousy pure and simple. Case in point, the poor sales of HCs book. The left’s constituency just doesn’t read much.
/bingo
It wasn’t conservatives who were “buying that” ... :- ) ...
Conservatives I know don’t waste hard earned money on such drivel.
Conservatives I know don’t waste hard earned money on such drivel.
If an outhouse is racist then Hillary is a walking talking swastika.
The term was "Democrat Soccer Mom," as you well know. Because that's the same person you want to read your crude imitation of an NLP programming meme so as to compel her to reject "Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. the Obamas."
OBVIOUSLY.
LOL!
Hillary’s ruthlessness has been known for years. But people like Cohen refuse to see it. I wonder what the PUMA people will do when Warren is nominated. Oh, no use in wondering. They’ll vote for the democrat.
It took this Libcompoop exactly three paragraphs to contradict himself. Probably not a record but gotta be close.
Richard Cohen WILL WRITE ANYTHING. Most of his political writings can be found under “Fiction”. A lot of his foreign affairs writing can be found under SCIFI (i.e. out of this world, like his mind).
In the scheme of things, Cohen is a useless Wash Post leftist hack, which is why he worked for them for so long. Now he had been gradually replaced by two veteran leftist shits, E.J. Dionne and Dana Milbank (the WP’s hatchetman and smear artist par excellance). Oh, I forgot Eugene Robinson, who only views himself as a black man, not as a color-blind American.
How pathetic! How Democrat! How sickening!
You nailed it. It’s like watching bad network daytime TV.
“The problem with Clinton’s book is that it doggedly presents her as she really is.”
hahahaha. Yes it really does... after you wipe your ass with the page. Then it accurately presents her!

What evidence does Cohen have, I wonder, that conservatives are the market for Klein's book?
Shallow, gossipy, personality-driven...it strike me as the kind of book that liberals love to buy. After all, it's not conservatives that are driving the supermarket tabloid market...
Really? Will buy anything? ..like Obama BS?
