Last month, I was very happy to hear that Mitt Romney was considering another run. Frankly, I think that he is one of the most qualified people ever denied the presidency.
Over the last few weeks, Gov Perry has been at the forefront of the "kids on the border issue." He represents people who are directly impacted by the chaos on the border.
Over the weekend, Gov Perry moved beyond the border and wrote a column about President Obama's foreign policy. It was strong. He challenged isolationism and he is right:
"As a veteran, and as a governor who has supported Texas National Guard deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I can understand the emotions behind isolationism.
Many people are tired of war, and the urge to pull back is a natural, human reaction.
Unfortunately, we live in a world where isolationist policies would only endanger our national security even further."
Gov Perry also took on Senator Rand Paul's view of the world. He also aligned himself with President Reagan's foreign policy - the projection of strength and maintaining a strong defense.
Gov Perry also has his Texas' economic record to talk about. Frankly, a lot of Americans may want to hear how Texas does it in 2016.

So much suckage.
Mitt Romney, ah yes, the loser .
He lost .
He is a loser.
Nuff said.
Oh yeah, loser.
I held my nose and voted for Romney over Obama. I just couldn’t do that again after what Obamacare is to my family.
I am done with the Republican party. They keep force-feeding carp.
wonderful, another RINO-fest. The GOP-e will never learn that the majority of the base and all of the conservatives DO NOT WANT these RINO pos candidates to represent us.
I believe Perry is definitely in. Not sure about Huckabee and Romney yet. Huckabee is is sniffing around the edges. If Hickabee decides to get in, you will know it if he starts losing weight inn a hurry. I think Roney will hang around and if the other candidates start to deadlock and there is a Draft Romney movement, he may try again.
Talk about a recipe for a third party.....
Perry is the best among them!
They just want to see which one of them gets to lose to Fauxcahontas.
The only person we need running in 2016 is Ted Cruz. Everyone else is either a RINO or an incompetent campaigner.
Of the three I like Perry best. While not the most polished speaker around . . . who wants a smooth talker . . . hasn’t worked out so great with the teleprompter man we have in there now.
RE: Mitt Romney, ah yes, the loser .
The same could have been said of Richard Nixon in 1960.
He lost to Kennedy ( by a squeaker and many say he should have won had it not been for massive fraud ).
Then he ran for governor in 1962 and LOST AGAIN to Pat Brown.
That would have been the end of his political career.
You know the rest of the story...
Romney would be OK if he toughens up and took the correct lessons away from his loss. I’m doubtful. This election will be all out war.
NO ONE is going ANYWHERE without a firm and succinct stand on the Immigration (translated: Illegal Aliens) issue!!!
As if we’re not hearing enough horror stories at the moment. These losers need to give up. They’re washed-up has-been lapdogs. The GOP-e needs to die.
Agreed. I can think of about a dozen better candidates, but Perry is still miles ahead of the Manchurian Democrat candidate Romney, and the wishy-washy socially womanly Huckabee.
I still like Perry, even after his debate gaffes. I am willing to vote for him again. (I voted Perry in the primaries).
I will not vote for Romney or Huckabee under any circumstances.
Looks like the start of the same bunch that ran last time.
Too bad it wasn't.
