Justice Department enters fray over 4th of July [anti-Obama] parade float in Norfolk

The U.S. Department of Justice has joined the discussions over a controversial float in the Norfolk Independence Day parade.

The department sent a member of its Community Relations Service team, which gets involved in discrimination disputes, to a Thursday meeting about the issue. Also at the meeting were the NAACP, the Norfolk mayor and The Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

The Odd Fellows organized the parade. One of the floats included a zombie-like mannequin standing near an outhouse labeled “Obama Presidential Library.”

The guys who put this float together ought to not meet with the bigots from DoJ. But if they do get a big picture of the new black panthers and their baseball bats standing outside a voting station and just hold it up whenever they are questioned.

Would the DOJ have jumped in if a parade in the ‘90s had a truck pulling an old, small travel trailer with signs indicating it was the Clinton Presidential Library?

Mr. Remmich should refuse to participate in any discussion/investigation of his parade float. Holder and the NAACP can't intimidate you if you don't give them an audience. Let Holder press charges and then Remmich can counter-sue.
