2 dove breasts are about 1/2 pound and contain aprox 400 calories.
Open your hard head to the facts. Doves are the number one gamebird in America, hunting has zero effect on their population.

Of course, the perfect solution to the problem is to have all these wonderful critters infest the areas where all the anti-hunters are. After several months of varmints going through their garbage or wrecking their gardens, many of them would be buying traps or weaponry. In short, they’d change their minds about the “evil” of hunting.
The important consideration should be to put the fear of God into these people. That is, death threats are illegal, and they should be prosecuted for them.
Likely the best way to bring about justice is to set a trap.
Set up a forum that is designed to trace posters back to their point of origin. The dumbasses might even make it easy by registering with personal information, just so that they can spew illegal hate.
The important thing would be to set up the site in a place with a willing prosecutor. And if the threat is conveyed across state lines, when there is a new, honest Justice Department, unlike the horribly corrupt one today, it should be asked to prosecute those individuals for the federal offense.

Where this is a problem in suburbia, antihunters still refuse to allow hired hunters to cull the deer which are causing all the damage, much less bears (dangerous to humans) or racoons (carry rabies). It’s a mindset that truly thinks humans do not outrank animals.
When a woman hiking in California was attacked & killed by a mountain lion, the majority opinion was that she shouldn’t have been invading the predator’s territory. No sense of her tragic death whatsoever. Again, a mindset.
Only a few ventured to suggest that she shouldn’t have been out hiking without packing some form of lion medicine like a large caliber handgun.

Have you seen the price tag for hunting a legal rhino? Here is one that went for $350,000. That money goes back into maintaining habitat for the animals. That IS stewardship, and if you want an explanation from the Hebrew of Genesis 1:28, I can do that.
I just want to know who paid for the hunt. If you look at Google Images, she’s shot lions, leopards, kudu... That’s an awful lot of money she’s spent.
Yeah, that's the excuse that galls me the most. At one point virtually the whole world was some predators other than humans territory. Huge bears and types of lions used to rule the U.S. We, human inhabitants, made it OUR territory just like the lesser species in earlier times made it their territory. If we can live in some area on the earth, it's OUR territory. Our species outranks all others.
While purely sport hunting for no good reason is halakhically prohibited, I’m sure these anti-hunters in G-d’s regulations about anything. And meanwhile, the predatory and carnivorous habits of animals and of “indigenous pipples” are celebrated as part of the “Great Circle of Life.”
