A Mississippi man who accused the Thad Cochran campaign of paying African-Americans to vote for the senator in his primary runoff last month is walking back his story.
Stevie Fielder told California-based blogger Charles C. Johnson he was asked to buy votes for $15 a pop in the June 24 runoff between Cochran and state Sen. Chris McDaniel.
Now, he's saying he never paid anyone to vote, saying the conversations he claimed he had with Cochran campaign staffers Kirk Sims and Amanda Shook were "hypothetical" and the interview with Johnson was edited.

Now, this guy is backtracking.
Does his recanted story help the Cochran campaign? Can he be trusted? Was he "finally paid", hence the "walking back" his story?

Someone must’ve told him that he was admitting to being complicit in a crime.

Translation: They got to him. If I were the McDaniel people I’d subpoena his bank records.

I wonder how much he was paid to change his story.

Johnson should have obtained a sworn affidavit from Fielder on day one.

How much do you suppose it would cost to get him to take back his retraction?

After a visit from Barbour’s boys with a rope and torches? Probably a lot. My bet is that Haley and co have threatened to turn Fielder into a Mississippi wind chime

Sold to the highest bidder. Our political class along with low info voters have already sold themselves into slavery. They answer to their masters totally. We Americans are free and do not wish to follow them into slavery.

So first he gets $15 for “walking around” money, and then tells the story and it sounds like Cochran’s buddies (the GOP-e) paid him a visit and maybe gave him some “walking back” money or drinking money.
To: aynrandfreak
Bingo! He was too stupid to realize it’s a felony to pay someone to vote. Of course he’s going to deny it now.

A criminal does not put his illegal bribe money in the bank. You have to get him on income/expenditure discrepancies.
