A motorcyclist going in excess of 200 kilometres an hour on Highway 40 was tracked down at his Laval home Friday after he evaded police.

Got my Kawasaki 1600 up to 115 mph. Would have been faster without the windshield, I'm sure. Didn't do it again, though. No sense poking the luck bear.

Heck my BMW R1200RT touring bike will run at 200 kiks all day. Not that I ever would, of course.
Got my not so stock H-D 1700 up to at least 110 mph a few times. Prob could go faster if I downshift to 5th. Not the most stable platform at those speeds though.
Before the H-D, had my stock Honda RC51 up to 145 mph twice (I-95 & Belt Parkway in NY) Very stable. Too stable actually. Took a bit of effort to change lanes. I can see why the pros need to hang off their bikes to turn.
Before the RC51, I had a Honda off road only XR650R that I tinkered with (higher compression pistons, hotter cams, taller gearing). Bumped the top speed up a bit. Maxed out at 115 mph on the FDR Drive in Manhattan on knobby tires. Got up to speed quickly and was pretty stable... But wow did those brakes seem nonexistent when I grabbed a fistful. I thought it had great brakes up until that point!
Before the XR, had a mostly stock Suzuki 800cc cruiser that had no trouble burying the speedo at 120 mph when new. Only mods were an opened up air box and rejetting. As the years went on, it could barely break 100 mph. Oddly it regularly spun rod bearings at 10k mile intervals requiring new cranks & rods each time.
I’m too old to break 100 mph these days. At least not while riding in NYC.
I’ve been 180+mph 3 times, 170+mph dozens of times, and 160+ more than I can remember. Used to do trackdays on my R1 years ago. Now I have a ZRX1200 that’s good up to about 130mph.
Autoroute 40 runs right thru Montreal, and is bumpy in parts. I have been on the road a few times...and max speed on it is 80-90 k (50-55 mph). Lucky he didn’t a pothole or bridge connection
