200 kph = 125 mhp. It's hard to imagine maintaining control at that speed. Must have been a nice, level road.

not a big deal. lots of bone stock bikes can do 0-125 mph and back to 0 in under 25 seconds.

True. I used to work WERA and AMA races at Road Atlanta as a track safety official. 200 KPH is nothing for the super bikes.

Agree but the degree of risk really is depending on the road condition, surroundings, traffic count, etc.
Not at all familiar with the area but it probably doesn’t look like the Bonneville salt flats.

125mph isn’t much on a Ducati or some of the behemoths these days. 175 - 200 would be news.

125 mph is plenty fast when you only have two tires. I had the H-D up to 95 mph once (fastest I ever went on it) and began to sense the beginning of a high speed wobble. My pucker factor went off the chart for a few seconds.

Yes any mechanical failure on a bike (and especially tires) is so much more potentially dangerous.

I worked with a guy who used to drive his desmodromic Ducati at speeds over 140 mph on Texas highways.
125 for a bike today is very easy.

” I had the H-D up to 95 mph once”
That’s why I said what I said, I have an HD that weighs 800 lbs. Had it to 100 mph, yeah it was fast enough but it wasn’t freaking me out or anything.
As far as degree of risk, I was taught reaction time is your friend, faster you go the less you have and the worse things can get. There’s a lot to be said for doing the posted speed limit on a scooter.
