Yuck! Your weather sounds like ours. I am not going to complain since winter isn’t too far off.
Took my mother for an overnight trip to a place called Kilmarnock, VA...just to get away. Nice country drive & visit a small town I’d never been to. Rest of the time I took care of some chores but spaced them out so I didn’t overwork.
