Clinton was only 1/2 impeached. He was not removed form office. The house impeaches, the senate convicts (or doesn't)
Clinton was 100% impeached by the house.
The senate did not convict but that doesn't nullify his impeachment.
Clinton will forever be an impeached president.

They won’t. Nobody wants to start down that path, because once it happens once it’ll happen every time. Which it probably should, but neither party wants that world.

That title makes no sense at all. Gotta be satire.

If he is impeached and convicted, all his Executive Orders, signatures on passed laws, become NULL and VOID thus setting the stage back to January 20, 2009 before he took that oath (that's debatable)By "debatable", do you mean "totally made up wishful thinking"?
Nothing invalidates the president's signature on laws. The next president can continue the executive orders of his predecessor as he sees fit, but it has nothing to do with how the predecessor leaves office.

PLease let him Resign.
Not even both houses in the GOP camp will impeach or convict. Rather deal with stainless plate Joe. Let the joke be on them.

How do we keep him from resigning? We throw him in prison and take away his pen and cell phone.

Clinton was “fully impeached”. He admitted that he was guilty of the charge, and the Senate-in all of its glory-said “no you’re not” and refused to convict him.

Clinton will forever be an impeached president.
He loses his right to stand in front of the SCOTUS to present anything also.

What makes you think the GOPe will be any better in the senate than Harry’s crew?
I wouldn’t trust them (GOPe) to pick up dog droppings in Central Park. Not after Mississippi.

then go about the process of cleaning up the mess.

You’re correct. But, I doubt that will happen whether GOP or Dem wins POTUS. That is, unless Ted Cruz should become Prez. But, that won’t happen either. Should he win the GOP primary, he would be demonized so severely one would think he’s equal parts child molester, wife beater, used car salesman, lawyer, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi all rolled up into one :)

Resign?
We’ll be lucky if he doesn’t manufacture a crisis and invoke martial law to avoid stepping down down in 2016.
He fancies himself President in the third world sense, where El Presidente rules via coalition of power, with no regard for law. Think Hugo Chavez.

The thing that scares me is thought of Joe Biden as President! In that sense, Obama chose his VP well.
