Civilians are not allowed to detain illegals. Civilians will definitely be in serious federal legal trouble if they do anything that can be construed as detaining them and will be charged with kidnapping along with various other kitchen sink charges thrown in. There will also be lawsuits filed against any civilian that detains or interferes with the “civil rights” of an illegal. I personally know people that have served serious federal time for doing so. Not to mention one or two ranchers that were sued and lost their property after the criminal case.

I am so happy people are going there and standing up for America, but I hope they are careful not to get into trouble, it is a mine field of legalities. The best they can really do is a protest so large it cannot be ignored to put political pressure on our politicians to stop this.

There are really good reasons why people who live on the border have not already put a stop to this. Any attempt to do so has ruined many lives.

My prayers and good wishes go out to all that are going, if I were able to go I would be going myself, but those that go need to be aware that illegals are the highest priority on the government protected specie list. Illegals can get away with everything, anyone that interferes with them is toast.

Which is why it is ESSENTIAL for Perry to activate the state and reserve militia.

If the county sheriffs showed up WITH the militia the feds would have a problem. If Perry sends the Texas Rangers to stand with the militia Obama has a big problem. Will Perry do anything but talk? Doubt it.

God speed to Jim and the rest.

At some point, there will be no choice. Standup and get into serious trouble, or don't stand up for our country.

My ancestor, Samuel Hill, chose to stand... on April 19, 1775 as a Sergeant, later Captain, of the Harvard MA militia. He is recorded as responding to the Lexington Alarm, and Harvard is only about 13 miles from the field where the militia congregated above the Olde North Bridge, so I expect he was there. If not, later in the day he would have been shooting at the King's soldiers on the road back to Charlestown/Boston, possibly part of the group that ambushed the British column at Merriman's corner, since some of those are said to have marched 20 miles since 2 am, the ambush was sprung about 12:30.

General Gage, the British commander/governor in Boston soon wrote:

“The rebels are not the despicable rabble too many have supposed them to be, and I find it owing to a military spirit encouraged amongst them for a few years past, joined with an uncommon degree of zeal and enthusiasm
. . . .
In all their wars against the French they never showed so much conduct, attention and perseverance as they do now.”

Before that day, Samuel Hill was doing what we are doing, as a member of the Committee of Correspondence. Although they were also organizing for the fight, should it come. Captain Hill was later joined in the fight by another ancestor, Ephraim Chaffin, who married Hill's daughter, Sarah. They are my 5th and 6th great grandparents.
