With the crisis in Iraq worsening by the day, a ranking Pentagon official with knowledge of the situation has shed some light on the Obama administration’s inaction in an exclusive statement to The Daily Caller.
“The Pentagon is split and the administration is paralyzed,” he said, calling the gridlock “horrendous.”
“Joint Chiefs Chairman [Martin] Dempsey is an asshat yes man,” he continued. “We have congressional authority to use force for the Iraq War, as it never expired, but people are putting targeting packets through unnecessary bureaucracy to slow events to the point that — they hope — the situation is overcome by events. Bad call. So fucked. Reads like another chapter in [Robert] Gates’s book.”

If he hated the historically artificial creation of Iraq I cannot understand why he would not also seek to dispense with Jordan.

It looks like Jordan is spooling up to fight ISIS. Relations between Israel and Jordan are apparently good as the speculation is that Israel will help Jordan stay stable and free. All Obama has to do is stand aside as the middle east goes up like a fireworks fabric and repeat Steve Urkel’s line, “Did I do that?”
Nuking Mecca would send a clear message but we have to wait until our Muslim president and our Muslim head of CIA leave office. If that ever happens.

Doesn’t hurt that next to Israel, Jordan is one of the most stable countries in the ME....

That Iraq war will go down as one if the biggest blunders this country ever undertook. We lost 4,600 troops and spent trillion$ for this?
Bad as it was, Saddam’s regime was the only workable solution for Iraq and any other arab country.

Sorry, I'm not buying that story.......While it sounds cool and most likely accurate, I doubt a standing officer would make such a statement........
Obama’s absolute failure, along with his Secretary of State, took a tough but manageable situation into chaos. No Status of Forces Agreement - Obama and Clinton own that. He blames the elected president for shutting out leaders of the other Muslim branch - but set such a good example of inclusion in this country by considering what the minority here wanted. /s
The hierarchy of the military has been systematically fired so less experience at a minimum people have been put in charge and on a short leash. Don’t think Al Quada notices? If we can make it to 2016 without a major terrorist attack at least on American interests overseas, if not here, I’ll be shocked.
