I know what you mean, except for right now. The Monsoon storms are poised to hit; we have thunderheads building over the Huachucas as I sit here and type these words!
From now until mid-September, as long as there is a High Pressure system sitting over the Four Corners, we will be getting thunderstorms. The weatherman down here can say the following every day and be right 75% of the time; “Today we’ll have widely scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms, primarily in the surrounding foothills and mountains.”
Which is a good thing, because we really need the rain. It is very dry and brown here in the San Pedro River valley.
Yay for you getting rain! Hope you’ll send us your leftovers! :)
We’ve had about 4 1/2” for the year. Ugh!
