I love my dog, but that is just silly. A dog is not a child. We take our dog with us as much as possible because he just seems to be happier waiting for us in the car than he is waiting at home. But he stays in the car all by himself while we are in a store, a restaurant, etc.
Well, I suppose you can leave a dog in a car by himself for a short time, I would not leave my kid there though. A dog can, to a certain extent, take care of himself. A small child cannot.
