Tucker alleges one of the colors was a part of the company's Williamsburg Collection, a project he helped market.

Perhaps his parents should not have named him after colonial-era plantation owners and/or revolutionary war figures.

Those are stupid names for paint.
The guy has no case. That is not discrimination.

Here’s what we need. A government agency to subpoena the names of paints from all paint companies, and classify the names by race, ethnicity, religion, sex, etc. If the numbers don’t match exactly the current makeup of the population, the company is fined 20 billion and has to apologize.

Makes as much sense as affirmative action.

Yeah, but as an employee of the company and creating something using company resources and facilities while being paid by the company does not entitle the employee to any other compensation or ownership of said creations.

They named the paints after him, probably as some kind of recognition for his efforts...I could live with that, but I would prefer a nice bonus or raise...

Afterall, employment is a barter arrangement...the company gives me some of their $$ for my knowledge, time and services. Once that arrangement is no longer acceptable to either or both parties...it’s time to move on.

Uh, he wasn't aware of this when he was marketing it?

I'd be willing to bet that the name was given to the colors as some kind of internal recognition of his work or something, especially as it sounds like he was involved in it. Hell, maybe he picked the name himself!

This sounds really weird.

He claimed that when working on the online arm of Benjamin Moore's campaign for their Williamsburg color collection, he learned of the new color "tucker chocolate," which the suit called "extremely racially offensive."

The Williamsburg collection also has colors named tucker orange and tucker gray.

Tucker then learned of the existing color "Clinton Brown," which a co-worker pointed out to him as a joke.

Clinton Tucker worked for the company's website in New Jersey starting in 2011

Millennials think 3 years with a company is practically forever.
