Yep. I have a gmail account; I’m going to move my name to another provider. “Don’t be evil” has definitely become “we will decide for you what is good and what is evil.”

Maybe it’s a byproduct of the aggregation of everyone’s online life, or maybe it’s the *point* of aggregating everyone’s online life; that’s their problem. My choice is ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and I’m opting for ‘no.’

Yea and their map and phone applications are getting worse and worse.

I’m fixing to ditch the company as well, it seems like their focusing their resources on promoting ideology rather than innovative and related technology.

That is scary for the prospect of political discourse in this country because Google is so huge and powerful able and capable of swashing decent.
