House Speaker John Boehner and House Republican inaction on immigration reform has been an invitation for President Obama to take executive action on the matter, Democrats argued Thursday.
Since the Speaker has not brought immigration reform to the floor, he invites, clearly, the actions of the executive branch to try to do that which the Congress seems to be incapable of doing, New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez argued at a gathering of House and Senate Democrats marking the year anniversary of the passage of the Senate immigration reform bill.
Boehner and House Republicans have balked at the idea of immigration reform this year, saying they do not trust Obama to enforce any law they pass.
According to the Democratic lawmakers and the Obama administration, however, there is one month left for the House to take action on immigration reform.
A year has gone by. I dont know how much more time he thinks he needs. But I hope that Speaker Boehner will speak up today, and if he does not, the President will borrow the power that is needed to solve the problems of immigration and he shouldn't be sued as a result of it, Illinois Sen. Richard Durbin said....

i wish boner would put an immigration bill up that says ‘in honor of mexico, we think their immigration laws and enforcement of those laws are correct, and the us’govt’willadopt the current immigration laws of mexico,’and their current enforcement tactics, immediately.’
then let’s have barry sign the damn bill.
why emperor mom jeans would even think republicans would draft a bill on immigration that gives him all he wants is’arrogant lunacy. congress is not the handmaid of the executive branch.
I wonder if they want him to, since so many of them support it. This would take the heat off them, they must think. I wouldn’t put collusion past them anymore.
Sorry, you must be smokin' dope. The press would praise the action although it would be illegal as hell.
The GOP will be fine with letting the rats take the blame, that’s a win/win for them, because so many of them want it also, but it’s an election year.
No, it’s a toy light sabre. Surely you jest. But my daughter has the same exact one.
Does this mean the next Republican president gets to impose anything a democratic congress doesn’t enact? I’d start with shifting Social Security to investment accounts, and move on from there.
Exactly. The GOP need to hold their ground and let the Kenyan and his ‘RAT comrades take all the credit for this alien invasion. The illegals are going to vote for the ‘RATS anyway. That’s why the ‘RATS started their Kiddie Krusade Invasion in the first place.
Hissein doesn’t care about “legal” , he only cares about forcing his will down the nation’s throat, on any and every issue.
I wasn’t clear, I meant the the Rs would see this as a “win/win” because they want amnesty too, but this way Hussein gets the blame. That’s why I said I don’t put collusion past them.
As I said on the other thread...
Well thank God we elected a lot of lesser evils over they years who stand idly by and let him rule as a king.
Thank god that rather than fight like madmen for people of principle who would have impeached the prick years ago, we took the easy way out, made excuses to anyone who would listen and elected Democrats in GOP clothing no matter what.
Well folks, this is what what looks like when all the excuses melt away under the hot lights of reality and youre left with impotent cowards that, more likely than not, ARE democrats in DC solely to protect Dear Reader.
This is right out of the F’n Alinsky playbook.
Create a crisis and then blame your opponents.
This is F’n TREASON!
IMPEACH THIS BASTARD!
Agreed ! ..." Its all out tyranny." .. but it's being done by the Executive Branch .
Since ICE was advertizing for "ESCORTS" for unocumented aliens back in January 2014, they knew about it and implemented it.
Since Homeland INSECURITY refuses to do their job, or even track the illegals, take all expenses out of thier budget.
Since Dept. of " JUST-US" refuses to support the Law of the Land , as presently constituted, they should share the financial burden.
Please note that all of these three Departments exist out of the EXECUTIVE BRANCH
then let them financially suffer from the 'CLOWARD-PIVEN' condition that they created , and implemented !
Criminal actions demand Criminal justice.
Let them tough it out financially
“Dems: Boehner ‘Invites’ Obama’s Executive Action by Failing to Bring Immigration to the Floor”
This is a fundamental and completely intentional “misunderstanding” of our constitutional republic. obama is all about “his way or the highway”. He thinks he is entitled to it. He is the most “entitled” president ever to occupy the White House. He is a narcaccistic, petulant child with big ears and a mammoth racial chip on his shoulder who was given everything in his life and believes everyone owes him. What did he ever work for? NOTHING! He plays golf then comes back, washes his balls, waves his hand and demands everybody do exactly what he wants or he will write and order.
There is serious psychological disfunction going on here!
At this point can you say unequivocally that would be good?
There's no difference between Democrat and Republican at this point — the Republican party has no intention of following up on any of its party planks and is solidly infused with statist mindset.
This is a tried and true way to avoid responsibility: the congress has done this with many issues, from Abortion to the Federal Reserve they let others implement the ideas that are too toxic for them to touch and then claim that it's the other branches job/responsibility and that they just can't do anything.
Yes they have. They certainly didn’t strain any muscles to fight CommieCare, while making sure they were exempt.
Right he does not, but they still can be deported whether it’s tomorrow or after Obama leaves the Residency.
And nothing Obama can do with his 'executive actions' can change anything!
Let’s hope so.
But it’s OK for Reid to hold up every law passed by the House.
FUBO.
