It’s nice to know there are places in the USA that don’t have busybody health Nazis looking for germs everywhere. Unfortunately, under that idiot Bloomberg, we could no longer give well-prepared food to soup kitchens. Or even to animal shelters!

Oh, for God’s sake-his big soda ban got trashed, but I suppose the Nazis will be soothed if a few people starve rather than eat at a privately supplied soup kitchen that is probably cleaner then a public one...

Some people just don’t have the imagination to think that someone in this country could go to bed hungry. Happily, we are a generous nation and there are plenty of soup kitchens and Salvation Armies and food banks who take care of needy people. Bloomberg never missed a meal in his life and it shows in his stupid policies. Same for his stupid successor.

I am truly impressed at how compassionate and generous so many Freepers are with Other People’s Money. I expect to soon read from them about Cracker Barrel’s War on the Homeless.

Mistake. If you start tossing scraps to a feral cat, you will soon have many, many feral cats at your door.

Oh, it’s started. Over 2,000 nasty responses on FB over packets of mayo and a couple of crummy corn dodgers. Also, what did Cracker Barrel do to Duck Dynasty? A lot of conservatives on FB are talking about this.

The money-maker in this county is the tourists, and they wander into our tourist trap stores, all the local festivals, farmers’ markets and other normal goings-on here. Basic, fresh food is everywhere at those functions-a busybody’s cell phone would disappear without a trace, and they would likely be asked nicely to leave.

My husband has run restaurants for over 20 years. The amount of food he is forced to throw out because of stupid health Nazi/government regulations is atrocious.

Throwing away food to comply with burdensome regulations is one thing. How much food did he give away for free? How much food did his employees give away for free? Would he fire employees who did this? Would he fire an employee who was warned repeatedly to stop giving away free food yet continued to do so?

I doubt my husband ever fired anyone for giving away mayonnaise - although it may have been the more costly and delicious tartar sauce - not all the facts are in.

Could be wrong, he generally worried more about the employees stealing the liquor - now that’s a huge problem and it’s hard to catch waiters and bartenders at it.

Freepers! Keep in mind the conservative restaurant chains (owners, management and/or policies) that rank highest on the liberals' boycott hit list are Chick-fil-A, Carl's Jr., Cracker Barrel, Domino's Pizza, Krystal, Waffle House and White Castle.....and there are more down various lists available on the internet.

(sources for the above list: Salon, Wall Street Journal).

I chose Cracker Barrel for a Florida freeper get-together brunch. The manager knew ahead of time that we were a conservative group (I had reserved a couple weeks ahead of time). He was totally enthusiastic.... and we got extremely attentive care.

There is nothing nasty about pointing out that donating other people’s property is not charity. On the other hand, it is truly uncharitable to insinuate that objecting to the redistribution of wealth is being heartless or miserly, or nasty.

In the first place, it was not his to give away. If he had purchased the items, it would be a horse of a different color.
