I never thought I would see the day when there were participants in this forum openly advocating voting for a liberal Democrat.
Yet that is what many are doing in advocating Kentuckians vote for Alison Lundergan Grimes.
This makes no sense unless one is a liberal or leftist anti-American or are unable to move beyond emotion and irrationality or a nihilist mind set that lets anger, fear, lack of faith and hatred dominate one's logical faculties.
Alison Lundergan Grimes was born in 1978. That's the year I graduated High school. Many here are older than I, and in politics, at 53 I am not all that old.
This liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, is 36 years old. She is a baby in politics.
If she wins this seat now she will be in the Senate for 40 years.
By contrast, McConnell is an old man who will be gone after this term.
Those supporting the liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, for Senate are going to simply make possible another Feinstein, or Boxer or any such left wing corrupt Marxist-thinking Senator with a Seat-For-Life.
Setting up a permanent seat in the Senate for a liberal leftist Democrat in a state where it is possible to avoid this plague, is not a good idea.
It may feel good emotionally to see the reprehensible, Mitch-I-want-to-punch-the-Tea-Party-in-the-nose McConnell lose, but the negative consequences are greater than the fleeting enjoyment of seeing McConnell lose.
Lol. Nail on the head right there.
If Boner wanted to do something good, he'd introduce articles of impeachment now.
We're not buying the snake-oil being sold by the GOPe anymore.
A judicial finding is different than a legislative finding. The SC decision today shows that.
We want Obama removed...not just impeached. To do that you need more evidence to prove to the public that Obama is damaging the country. I believe that is what Boehner is doing with the lawsuit.
If it makes you feel good, go for it.
I wish the lawsuit luck.
But I would not hold my breath.
I see absolutely no proof of this -- that the Republican party can/will stymie the Obama [more correctly DC] agenda -- an excellent illustration of this is the NSA's domestic spying program: this is so utterly repugnant and offensive that the vast majority of people are against it (so much that someone in DC even mentioned the possibility of defunding the NSA!) and yet the Republican party could not bring itself (as a whole/majority) to oppose the NSA. Given that they would not engage on a no-lose battlefront
, what makes you think that they'd oppose Obama/DC?
The Buckley rule is RINO insurance, often used here by trolls to try and convince conservative that the cr@p sandwich they have just been served up, is really prime beef.
Sounds great to me.
Just a reminder of how we are always told to vote for the (R) and still lose.
that is generally the way I would think. But, with Graham and MCCain I would get rid of them at any cost.
It’s not cancer.
It’s politics.
Yours was, as with others, the emotional response.
>> Does not make Any sense to me. But, if Lindsey Graham were the Republican I would vote for the donk simply because they could not do as much damage to us as McCain and Graham
>
> I know what you mean, but when moving away from emotion and looking at this realistically, they can and do and will, in fact, do a lot more damage than the GOP-e.
I don’t know about that — McCain is the one who really torpedoed the F-22; he’s actively worked against border-security; he’s actively worked against political-freespeech; he’s been actively working against our purposes for years and semi-recently got censured by the AZ republican party for doing so — I find it hard to believe that flipping his seat (D) for a senatorial term in order to get rid of him [and possibly/probably open up the (R) position to someone new] would be utter disaster.
Yours is the Cry Baby response.
The Sore-Lieberman response.
Turning tail and letting leftists take over out of spite and anger does not help in any way.
Keeping leftists out does not mean Thad Cochran or McConnell are good guys. Nor does it mean they won’t get their come uppance.
But the ineffective hurt them selves when trying to hurt others in payback or revenge due to frustration or animosity or a very legitimate sense of being wronged.
I like emotion ... What rinos can't give me ... Conservatives give coffee to.
Truth be told there are Freeper’s that are liberal democrats. They post on here all the time, they work at causing distrust and support for the liberal agenda, so never assume that a freeper is conservative, some are nothing more then leftist trash.
Really? REALLY?!?!?!?! Holy smokes! I don't think we need more evidence at this point. We need impeachment. The Senate will still fail to do their job, just as they did with Clinton. You honestly believe McConnell will lead the charge? You really think they would actually impeach? If you do, it's no wonder we're in the shape we're in.
yes, cannot give them nothing more ... They walk on their own.
You know, I’m baffled as to how you people keep trying to say I would vote for an establishment candidate. Of course, you also keep trying to get me and others to vote Democrat so I guess you have to make me out as an establishment groupie.
Once and for all, I would never support an establishment candidate but even worse, no matter what anyone argues, is to vote for a Democrat. Either don’t vote or write-in, or go 3rd party but never ever vote for a Democrat.
Hope that’s clear.
Of course we do if you want to convince enough of the public to pressure 66 senators into voting for removal.
That support is not currently there.
