The First Daughter is checking out colleges in the Bay Area.
Another Democratic president, another daughter educated in the Bay Area?
Malia Obama, the oldest daughter of President Barack Obama, is about to turn 16 and is looking at colleges -- and she's looking at the best the Bay has to offer, according to reports.
A "source" tells the San Francisco Chronicle that Malia toured the campus of the University of California Berkeley recently.
Malia is already West Coasting, working as a production assistant on a television show in Los Angeles.
Apparently, she also visited Stanford, the alma mater of Chelsea Clinton, another well-known first daughter.
Officials at both schools declined to comment, but Malia supposedly liked what she saw at Berkeley.
Ivy League for me, Common Core for thee.
I wonder if she will visit Hillsdale. /s
Well, isn’t that nice we were able to give her this little California vacay.
Of course neither is as good if one wants to be a Constitutional Scholar as Hillsdale...........
Berkeley grades SUPER hard but is EXTREMELY active with affirmative action:
This means MANY minorities start out at UCB but cannot hack it and drop out —we hear of this pattern elsewhere but this path is very, very, very well-trod at Cal.
I suspect it will not hurt that she’s an Obama, but…I dunno —they really take pride in grading people hard, there, especially in engineering, etc.
I think blacks, etc, drop out of Berkeley at a rate of maybe 90% or something.

I knew that the people in DC had no respect for those in "fly over country", but it seems they have no respect for those of us on the Left Coast either!

Who gives a rat’s rear end? There are hundreds of thousands of 16 year olds starting to look at colleges right now.......I know, my daughter turns 16 next week.

I’m sure she will be taking a burger flipping job to help pay for her indoctrination. I mean education.
And I’m sure she will struggle to find a job. Poor Chelsea only got 600,000 per year as a starter job. that’s barely enough to support her destitute parents.
BTW, how is her TV production assistant gig going? Or was she not as "qualified" as Malia for such an internship?
