The prospect of electing an intemperate Tea Party candidate who was openly nostalgic for Confederate days was so repellent to many black voters in Mississippi that they did a remarkable thing on Tuesday, crossing party lines to help give the Republican Senate nomination to Thad Cochran, in office for 36 years. Now its time for Mr. Cochran to return the favor by supporting a stronger Voting Rights Act and actively working to reduce his partys extreme antigovernment policies.

It is never better to ave a Democrat of any kind.
Just remember Joe Manchin and how he supported Obamacare even though the POS Potus swore to destroy the coal industry. Just like a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work, a bad Republican is better than a good Democrat, if you can find one.
And they’ve now come out with their demands. Quid pro quo in full view of everybody...
This one really needs a Projectile Hurl alert.
A Projectile Hurl alert BEFORE showing any words of the excerpt. Even the excerpt was enough to gag me.
Yup, Cochran and the GOP-e are in bed with these lying, Leftist a-holes.
Thad doesn’t owe these folks anything more. They voted for him because he already brings home bacon for them.
I've been hearing that same BS for 30 years and now the country in circling the drain. If you want the GOP to repeatedly take a big dump on your head and then reward them by putting them right back in their positions of luxury and prestige then go right ahead. I'm done.
They are already making demands on the compromised candidate.
Where’s the BARF Alert?!
Advance Voting Rights, indeed?! Blacks already HAVE the right to vote without showing any identity; which amounts to them having carte blanche to vote as often, and in as many venues as they desire! Which, BTW, is precisely what happened on Tuesday in Mississippi.
When is lightning going to strike that NYT den of vipers?!
I could spit at this Godless, Democrat jackass.
It seems the New York Times and the GOP Establishment are on the same page. They both hate our guts.
Sorry, no matter what...we need to keep Cochran from being reelected and THEN later retire (to a well compensated “no show” position in a lobbyist organization) so that the corrupt GOPe, Karl Rove and the Barbours can engineer his replacement with one of their own.
This is infuriating.
The Uniparty for all to see!!!!
I don't mean to bring attention to all these Cochran Articles, but there is no better example right now.
This man was selected by DEMOCRATS, who Won't vote for him in the Primary!
I just received a phone call, on my cell phone, from the RNC in DC asking for a sizable donation. After the caller finished his speech, I politely told him to take me off their list and I would not be making any contribution to the RNC after their antics yesterday in Mississippi. (The call was being recorded)
He politely thanked me and said good bye.
Modern journalism = professional libel
So black people are nothing but tools to be used to someone else’s advantage. Got it.
It is infuriating. But SOMEONE supports these people and keeps them in power. And makes excuses for them to ease peoples’ consciences so that people KEEP supporting them time and again.
therein lies the true problem. The enemy is within.
Thad’s not gonna win in November. A line was crossed when the RINOs overtly colluded with dimocrats to thwart the will of the Mississippi republicans. I think revenge is on their minds
No.no no.....pledge a donation. Let the RNC waste money on multiple mailings to try to collect.
Pffttt.
Cochran doesn’t owe anyone squat.
He won’t be running again in 6 years so the only people he has to please are himself and any cronies who call in their chips or who may offer favors to him and/or members of his family after his term expires, if he lives that long.
36 years in Congress was not enough?
