House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa says he's willing to consider immunity for former IRS official Lois Lerner, but he wants to know what she plans to say first.
"If she were willing to proffer through her attorney that she would tell us something meaningful, disclose how these crimes were committed, how they sought to and who sought to go after conservative groups because of their values, then we could, and I would … have a vote to grant her immunity," Issa said Tuesday on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor."
But Issa said that South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor, has warned him never to grant immunity without a proffer of what the witness will say.

Indeed.
There are two ways to approach this. One is to grant immunity AFTER finding out what she will testify to. The other is to offer immunity first and let her crap on the committee.

He’s absolutley right. Do you remember what happened when the dim prosecutors gave immunity to Oliver North?
They went absolutley ballistic when he gave them nothing and there was nothing they could do about it.
Unlike an oral agreement, a proffer agreement is put in the written form.

Exactly! She’s a committed Marxist! All you have to do is read what we know she’s done in the past to know that she’s simply going to give Issa & Co. the middle finger. She’s not going to give up anyone because she’s a true believer. She would probably go to jail rather than give any meaningful testimony and she probably thinks there’s no way that Issa can or would jail her because Boner wouldn’t let him.
And she might be correct. I wish Rep. Issa would throw her in the slammer and bring up the nearest available subordinate to see if he wants to go to jail for the Cause, too. And then the next one, and the next one ...
