The U.S. economy shrank in the first quarter of the year, and new revisions by the Bureau of Economic Analysis show the decline was even deeper than reported. Gross domestic product contracted at a 2.9% annual. That's the weakest quarter for the U.S. economy since the first quarter of 2009, amid the Great Recession.
But economists aren't too worried, for three key reasons.
1) They blame the weather.
2) It's not a final number.
3) Last, but certainly not least, other data show the economy is improving.

Just saying.
Bring back jobs, to America.
Stop importing everything.
4. Obama is president. We have nothing to worry about.
LOL. Our MSM would make Pravda proud.
In related news, the chocolate ration has been increased for 30 grams to 25 grams.
Just imagine if these truly awful numbers were generated under W...and then imagine the response of the Communist News Network,
The weather? You mean Global Warming caused it?
“The Great Recession”? Cover for obama.
Exactly.
Nothing to see here. Move along. Don’t blame Obama. Not his fault. Residual effects of the George W. Bush economy...
Ok, the building is on fire but no need to panic.
1. it was caused by lightning not people.
2. We don't know what the final damage will be.
3. The other side of the building is not on fire.
“The weather? You mean Global Warming caused it?”
Oooh, that’s gonna leave a mark.

CNN Reports ‘U.S. Economy Shrinks, But It’s Not a Big Deal’
By Laura Flint | May 29, 2014 | 13:05
Last month, CNN reported that the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis measured a decrease in the rate of growth of U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) to the tune of 0.1 percent. But relax, they insisted, it was merely due to the winter weather effect.
Fast forward to today and the Bureaus downward revision of GDP growth. The feds now tell us the economy contracted one percent in the first quarter. Yes, this is the first downturn since 2011,” CNNMoney noted but, hey, its not a big deal, according to the networks dismissive headline.

What is that picture originally of? It reminds me of the videos of Saddam saying all is well while Iraqis looked outside and saw American tanks coming down the street.
No worries, unless of course this were the Bush administration.
The corrupt MSN.
Who knows what the real numbers are?If they admit 2.9%,I have to wonder.
Coincides with the obamacare rollout does it not?
