There were 24,889 votes cast in Hinds County in the runoff17,927 were for Cochran and 6,962 were for McDanielbut only 20,567 Republican voters are listed in Hinds County, according to the well-known Labels and Lists Voter Data Base. The extraordinarily high turnout in Hinds County is much more than what happened in Hinds County in the primary just a few weeks ago, when 16,640 total votes were cast10,928 for Cochran and 5,621 for McDaniel.
When asked if that seems a bit off, Cole responded: Right.
I noticed in his speech, McDaniel said dozens of irregularities, Cole said. So I suspect hell look into some of the bigger counties like Hinds, Madison, maybe Bolivar up in the north deltathey had a big turnout. Forrest is always a placethats where the contested mayors race was last year. They went to court and it had to be done over because of irregularities. So, Forrest could be a place to lookbut I dont know where all these irregularities could be.

Let’s canvass those absentee ballots, the Democrats’ favorite way to commit election fraud.
“walking around” money. Heard yesterday Cochran was handing out money in AA neighborhoods to get out the black vote
I agree - except - probably the only way universal voter ID gets passed is by a national ID card for all legal citizens. Illegal residents of all sorts would still be illegal, same as now.
But, even considering that, I'm for it because as it is now we already have national ID via SS numbers or tax ID number. So go ahead and tighten the voting requirements.
While I agree that the lack of a closed primary is part of the problem, we can’t discount the politics of envy. Mike Church stated on his program a couple months ago that our situation will likely not change because the Fed. government has the “candy” and there are too many people on both sides of the political aisle with their hands open. I wonder if we will ever have a UKIP type event until there is a real financial collapse(?). If the recount shows that Cochran won “fair and square” with his Dem votes what will we do then? I pray I am wrong.
Conservatives have to overcome both democrats and republicans. The GOPe is maybe even worse than the democrats. At least we know where demos stand.
A recount won’t work in this case.
The assumption isn’t that ballot boxes were stuffed, it’s that Dems who voted in the Dem primary crossed over to give Cochrane his winning margin.
If that’s proved, the only possible recourse is another election. Because of the secret ballot, you can’t just throw out Cochrane votes. That would mean you not only knew that Dem double-dip votes went for him, but could also quantfy them.
Cochrane’s done, tho. Conservatives wont just come home to him after this, and the Blacks who crossed over yesterday WILL run home to the Dems in the November general election.
Party only primaries, otherwise known as “closed” primaries, should be (and should have been) one of our main priorities. Time and time again we have allowed Democrats to pick our candidates and suddenly people have having meltdowns over it? Only membership of a party should be able to determine the party candidate, that is simple common sense. Further there has to be rules in place for changing party affiliation quickly, because Dems used to play that trick too.
We don’t need a national ID. State ID with a national database would work fine, we just need to include citizenship status.
“Only registered party members can vote in their partys primaries here.
How hard would it be to make that the law in ALL states.”
It wouldn’t be hard, but the Republicans don’t want to. Tehy want to make sure the Republican candidate is a RINO.
My tag line is along the lines of your government candy comment.

Check the absentee ballots. the favorite method of vote fraud by Democrats. Ol’ Thad is a recycled Democrat, you know.
Tell me again, why did we throw out literacy tests and poll taxes? And who exactly is the idiot who suggested women should vote? Democrats vote in a Republican Primary? Sure. As long as they are queer, or on welfare, are seeking an abortion on election day, and a RINO PAC will pay for a van to take them to the polls. Or two.
Seems like the establishment candidates (Cockring, McCain, Murkowski, Reid, Rangel, etc) always beat the polls by about 5% unless they are blindsided (Cantor).
IMHO....McDaniel needs to challenge the vote...big time!!! I am sure an investigation will reveal thousands of unqualified votes were cast!!! The election was stolen by the Republican Establishment, RINOS, Democrat Party, African-Americans, rigging the vote with unqualified voters!!! McDaniel canvas every vote cast for legallity!!! Do it. You beat Thad Cochran by a sizable margin, when the correct counting is done!!! Do not give up.
The criminal POTUS, Obama is being criminally exposed day after day with just about everything he touches....and you think his supporters im Ole Miss are going to be honest!!! America....wake up!!!
Thad Cochran was born on December 7th...we should have seen this sneaky attack coming..
Hate to rain on this parade but this is a mistake.
1. The legal bus goes extremely quickly. If there were a few 100 votes separating the two, there might be time to find Dems who voted in the primary Dem and were improperly allowed to cross over.
He has TEN days to prove 5,000 ‘irregularities.’ That’s way too high a number to get to.
2. The Mississippi law is vague as can be. Basically it allows for crossover voting, which is the big issue.
Street money, buses, preachers got paid, etc. Nothing will come of that. Rumors and just standard political dirty tricks.
3. Judges are VERY cautious in tossing out votes or election results and there is a high legal standard of proof to reach for them to do so.
In short, this is Woody Jenkins all over. He had a U.S. Senate seat stolen by the Dems, challenged it, and went on to lose several statewide seats. He was a ‘sore loser.’
McDaniel is young. He can come back for this. Organize an effort to go to closed primary and control the state party machinery.
Thad is old and won’t be around next time.
Come back as the favored candidate next time out.
This is a candidate listening to well-meaning and loyal supporters that are giving him BAD advice. He won’t win. Voters will never forgive him from keeping the pot stirring after the race is over. He’ll never win statewide again if he does this.
In short, big mistake.
I always thought Mississippi was a strong Christian state? Didn’t Cochran have a girlfriend while his wife was in a nursing home? How many years were they married? I can’t believe a Christian would vote for an adulterer. I thought that it was our faith that separated us from democrats. Now gays can say, republicans vote for someone who is unfaithful to his poor wife, so why question us for what we do? God help our country!
I’m worried Lamar will use the same tactic against Carr.
