Lois Lerner could have erased the data or reformatted her hard drive and then used the IRS IT folks to verify that the erasure worked.

Prior to the congressional investigation, the IRS IG had been investigating what was happening. No doubt Lerner was aware of the IG investigation. I hope that someone asks when the IG investigation began.

Cummings is part of the problem. He helped pressure the IRS to go after the conservative groups.
