I remember it very well.

The MSM called Florida for Gore at about 8 pm central time. The FL panhandle voters were still in line to vote, and that is/was a conservative district. There were reports that some voters left because of the long lines. It was assumed that Al Gore had won the presidency.

Similar tales came out of the western states where there was more support for the GOP. The way I figure it, the erroneous calling of the state of Florida for Gore so early cost Bush and Cheney thousands, maybe a million votes across the country.

Whether or not a “moderate Republican” can win isn’t the issue. The question we should be asking is will the new president undertake the task of restoring this country to its constitutional foundation? Even electing a “conservative Republican doesn’t guarantee that. It’s going to take someone real special to rein in the expansion of this government. Someone who hasn’t a problem saying NO!

We need to take the press back from liberals.

I wish somebody would come up with a plan for that.

Because a ‘moderate republican’ lost the last two times...?

There is no plan to do that. They won’t even sell dying media properties to a conservative, they’d rather fold than see their newspapers or such sold to a conservative. Hollyweird and the TV industry refuses to hire conservatives and they would definitely never sell their networks and cable channels to a conservative.

If a cable channel is bought by a conservative somehow, you will see cable providers drop them from a line up and a national outcry of boycotts from the left.

A conservative cable channel would have to be pretty much supported by donations too. No major corporation is going to buy ads on it. Do you ever hear big companies advertising on talk radio these days?
