Editor: A sober warning to Christian pastors in America about what they might be facing sometime in the future. Time to prepare ourselves to stand right now.
Churches in Denmark are now compelled, by law, to host same-sex weddings.
America is next.
Tyrannys appetite is insatiable. The secular-lefts hunger for power and control over its detractors can never be satisfied. To outwardly succumb and affirmatively capitulate to their pagan demands will never be enough.
Thought control is the goal.
Case in point: Remember Jack Phillips, the Christian baker in Colorado? He exercised his First Amendment religious rights and politely declined to bake a wedding cake for a homosexual civil union. Colorados civil rights Star Chamber recently ordered Mr. Phillips to deny his faith and bake these fake cakes, shut down or face prison.
He and his elderly mother (an employee) have additionally been sentenced to attend sensitivity training (read: re-education camp). There, some snot-nosed college grad with a degree in feminist/gender studies, or some other such nonsense, will endeavor to scrub all biblical notions of human sexuality and natural marriage from their minds, hearts and souls, reboot and upload Mozilla Moral Relativism 2.0.
As Mr. Phillips has indicated, he has no problem baking for homosexuals, but, as a Christian, he simply cannot and will not contribute his time and God-given gifts to bake a wedding cake that mocks and defiles Gods design for the immutable institution of legitimate marriage.
Nor would he bake for a white supremacist rally or any other similarly wicked event that likewise flouts biblical truth.

There is no reason for a church to shut its doors if it loses its tax exempt status. They might need to change the focus of their spending and of their ministries, but the believer is told by the Bible and the Holy Spirit to support their church and pastor. The unbelieving churches would face hard times and that is why they will agree to follow the government rule, but the believing churches will keep doing what they are supposed to do; reaching out to a lost and dying world.
i predict that it will start with Church affiliated organizations, say renting a Knights of Columbus hall for a gay wedding reception.
People need to keep in mind that the only churches in Denmark being forced to perform gay weddings are those that are part of the official Danish state church. All other churches (including the Roman Catholic churches located in Denmark) are still allowed to refuse.
All this does is serve to show what happens when you have a state church, reinforcing the brilliance of the Founders and Framers in prohibiting such within the 1st Amendment.
IMHO, any move to use US governmental power to force US churches to perform gay weddings will be struck down, ruthlessly, by the courts. With even many/most Liberal judges and justices concurring. It opens the door to all sorts of other things.
However, I wouldn’t put it past Leftist agitators to try. Which would be a huge mistake. We aren’t talking about an isolated baker or photographer - we’re talking about multiple churches with 100+ million members. It would be a major, probably THE major, tipping point for cementing the notion that the Left are just a bunch of bullies/thugs when it comes to getting their way.
I said years ago that this would be the next step in the agenda.
You have to remember that criminalizing Christianity is the true end goal.
The left just found a convenient spearhead in “homosexual rights”.
Revolt is coming.
Get ready for American revolution 2.0.
No wonder Americans have been stocking up on guns.
Yep.
Although it’s still evil, I believe that only applies to the state religion of Denmark.
I agree with you totally.
Solution:
1. Require church membership in order to be married at the church.
2. Require standardized wedding script, which includes the gospel and quotes from scriptures about male and female in relation to marriage.
At least then the church would be full of true followers of Christ instead of the pretenders we have now.
I'm not afraid of persecution. It's always grown the church.
