The price of oil neared $107 as traders looked ahead to the outcome of a Fed meeting later Wednesday and as violence persisted in energy producer Iraq, where Islamic militants attacked the country's largest refinery.
Benchmark U.S. crude for July delivery rose 38 cents to $106.73 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange by midafternoon in Asia. Brent crude, a benchmark used to price international oils, added 13 cents to $113.58 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange in London.
Markets are awaiting the conclusion of the Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting, when it will release its latest forecasts for the world's biggest economy that will also provide guidance on future energy demand.
Also scheduled for Wednesday was the latest reading on U.S. supplies, with analysts forecasting a drop of 1.4 million barrels in the week ending June 13, according to a survey by Platts.

Well... all they have to do is cross the “NO” off their NO BLOOD FOR OIL signs. Which would be a conservative thing to do because it saves money and prevents waste, so they won’t do that.
Maybe Hillary could make it part of her campaign. I’m sure her staff could come up with some interesting catch phrase.
Anything is better than HOT FOR HILLARY.
Wrong adverb.
I think voters can't don't read.
They don't listen either. If it's not what they want to hear.
It becomes painfully obvious that some of them can't read. And many who can read lack the ability to comprehend what they are reading and apply it to events that are impoverishing them. Others who can read and comprehend are so deliberately obtuse that they are perceived to be mentally ill.
$4/gallon gas didn’t seem to hinder his re-election much.
Nor did 8% unemployment (13% actual), surging food prices, and trillion dollar deficits.
I’m pretty much convinced the entitlement army is in control
but they’ve moved so quickly that there’s no way they’ve been able to learn and master their operation to make them effective in their advance to this point.
