HOUSTON, Texas—Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) appeared on Fox News’ Fox and Friends show and said Texas lacks the resources and manpower to secure the 1,200 mile Texas border with Mexico.
The comment sent shock waves through a Texas grassroots discussion thread on Facebook this morning of activists who are seeking a special session call from the Governor to deal with the issue of border security.

If we just enforced penalties against the hiring of illegals and took away all benefits we would not need to secure the border. The incentive to come and stay would disappear.
So you just do NOTHING, Rick??
(1) The TX Governor position is weak, Perry holds no real power
(2) There ain't enough Texas Rangers or County Sheriff's deputies to man a 1,200-mile border
(3) If Perry does do something, he will get smacked down by some leftist federal judge or by Holder's corrupt Injustice Dept
Note: I'm not defending Perry, just trying to see the situation from his point of view. If it was me, I'd give the clarion call for armed Texans to man the border in droves.
Stock the Rio Grande with piranhas.
Start spreading the rumor that the border is a minefield with plenty of warning signs. You don’t even have to actually put them down, just set off a few explosions near most popular routs and plant some blown up cattle near them and let the word get around.

I can’t say what I think about how to solve this issue real quick. When someone breaks into your house, what does a normal person do?
Remember the stand off at the Bundy Ranch. It seems rather obvious that our good Gov doesn’t intend to run for President in 2016. We sure don’t want someone else in the White House who can’t get problems solved.

Perry is pro-amnesty and a former democrat.
Gov. Perry would carry a small firearm when he jogged. It was to deal with coyotes, so he said. Preparedness is good.
Too many wealthy Texans exploit illegal aliens for cheap labor. These Texans donate money to the politicians to ensure such exploitation isn’t abolished. Gov.Perry isn’t running for governor again.
Come on, dude; you better be prepared to run for President, but you’re not showing any sense.
There is a Texas solution to this problem, and it doesn’t include doing nothing.
