Rick Perry: 'We Don'T Have The Resources' To Secure Texas Border

HOUSTON, Texas—Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) appeared on Fox News’ Fox and Friends show and said Texas lacks the resources and manpower to secure the 1,200 mile Texas border with Mexico.

The comment sent shock waves through a Texas grassroots discussion thread on Facebook this morning of activists who are seeking a special session call from the Governor to deal with the issue of border security.

Well, if he is really a conservative that understands the Constitution and States Rights and the failed obligation and responsibility the Feds have to protect the border, and if he is really a leader that wants to be POTUS, I sincerely doubt this would stop him from finding a solution.

To hell with the FERAL Government. Texas has all the rights of a sovereign State to secure it’s border from this invasion that is happening.

Our people are being overrun and they need help in South Texas. Slick Rick needs to earn his pay.

Texas has its own State Guard. It is in addition to the National Guard. Perry could use the State Guard to seal the border without the worries of it being nationalized.
