AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

The fights were usually pretty colorful, but they’d always have to clean-up the ‘red ice’ and delay the game, until the next fight. I remember 2 of the Chicago Blackhawks - Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita - back in the 60s, and it was fast action.

Banned National Lampoon Ad
The National Lampoon Encyclopedia of Humor
(1973)

That was a spoof ad run in National Lampoon. They caught all kinds of hell for that from VW North America. Heh.

Here’s one of their TV ads by DDB (Doyle, Dane, Bernbach) Advertising:

Cheerios, LOL! Never thought of that....nor hand feeding, but I always stood around while they were dining.

Don’t think I can be of much help on this, but FWIW:

My koi only liked Tetra Pond Floating Koi (and/or Vibrance) Sticks....period. Back of box has a feeding/winterizing schedule. I tried the flakes one year (no go). IIRC, they had a different nutritional composition. Even tried Tetra sticks with a different nutritional composition. No go.

I started to wing it. As the cold weather approached, I started feeding them less and observed how fast they ate the food. When I shut off the waterfall and winterized the pond, I continued to watch their behavior, their sluggishness as they became more dormant and how they responded to food.

I never took the water temp. One advantage that I had that you may not have is that my pond freezes solid every year & stays solid throughout the winter. Don’t know winters in northern VA, but they may fluctuate more wildly than more northern climes.

I bought my koi from a well-respected local nursery, where I also bought most of my trees, shrubs, flowers, etc, etc. I quickly learned who was the most educated to answer my questions on what issues. Usually the managers (but not always) of their respective divisions.

If I were living in northern VA, I would do the same to start off with-—even more than expert advice from the net. Local nurseries like happy regular customers and usually offer excellent advice.

The Federal Government is an entity that makes a mistake, and then repeats it over and over again until the mistake becomes THE LAW OF THE LAND.

"good humor; always has an element of truth"..VWNA, could have sold millions of VW w/ that Ad.
and as a added bonus, Swimmer Ted could've been defeated in the next election.

Yes I use the Tetra Vibrance too and they love it but that's for dinner. I give them the Cheerios for breakfast and they love them too.

BTW I get absolutely everything for the pond on Amazon now. From food to chemicals to landscape lights to pumps, it's MORE than half the price or less from my nursery.

Also I'm trying something new for the Blue Heron, a mirror ball that floats around the pond on the current from the waterfall. The reflection is supposed to scare them off. I'll let you know how it works.

As far as freezing, my pond guy says we get 7-18 inches depending on the year. But since my pond is old and built out of concrete he recommended I use a De-Icer so it doesn't crack the bottom. It also gives a place for my birdies to drink in the winter. Got a cheap 1,500 watt one on Amazon.

What more are you thinking about "something big is up."

One can hope that Lois and Obama (and associates) didn't cover their tracks as well as they thought!

I knew the Yellow Cake was found but I did not know it was taken to Canada. Anyway on Facebook I was insulting a bunch of low voter dips that were pretty sure we had no WMD’s in Iraq. They seem to think that Uranium is some kind of body power for women. Idiots!

What we have here is a tale of FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Currently, we have a mutually beneficial, cave-in system where “both” political parties spend 40 % more money than they take in as income. [ Note: Their word for “Cave-in” is “Bi-Partisan.”]

40 % of the Annual Federal Spending is for Welfare: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, Aid to Dependent Children, Food Stamps, Rental Aid to Illegal Alien Invader “children” and adults from Mexico, etc, etc, etc.

365 days X 0.6 = 219 days after October 1 (Fed. Fiscal Year) for non-Welfare, Federal expenses, most of which is for salaries.

After the 219 days, (60 % of a year), or 7.3 months, ( April 9, +/-), are up the Feds either print more money or sell bonds to pay for the rest of the Fed. Fiscal year Welfare expenses.

The rest of the year: April 9 to October 1, the US Federal Government spends every second increasing the National Debt burden on us and our Grandchildren’s Descendants.

So much for what our highly paid Federal Politicians in “both” political parties are doing TO us.

Now comes what their smokescreen diversions are: Are you “Liberal or Conservative?”

To test this smokescreen, just ask yourself the following question:

“If a “Conservative Politician” is a Politician who “Conserves,” then who are the Politicians in all of our political parties who have EVER “Conserved” anything?”

My point is that the Left and Right Stream Media are distracting We, The People by this fracturing and splitting topic, while “both” political parties happily continue to convince us that we really do need 40 % more Federal Government than we can pay for.

There is no “fracturing” of any political party, as “both” of our political parties have the same basic goal: KEEP ON INCREASING THE SIZE OF THE US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

If you doubt me, then just FOLLOW THE MONEY.
