Remove "Virgin Mary Should've Aborted"
WARNING! Be aware this is deeply disturbing.
Please listen:
The Blessed Virgin Mary is under a brutal attack on Facebook!
And because I know that you dearly love Our Lady and the Mother of Jesus, I believe that you will help us put a stop to this terrible sacrilege.
And do this by telling Facebooks Mark Zuckerberg:
Take Down This Page!
Will you?
We must stop the giant social media site Facebook from continuing to carry this brutal attack on the Virgin Mary:
Yes, its hard to believe, but the page has a top banner headlined with the blasphemous message
Virgin Mary Shouldve Aborted.
That blasphemy is bad enough, but
it is matched in blasphemous messaging by an image of Our Lord Jesus Christ as a fetus:
complete with umbilical cord (as if still in the womb, hence He shouldve been aborted) with a bloody crown of thorns with His five bleeding Sacred Wounds of the Crucifixion and with the word YAHWE tattooed onto His arm; evidently to make sure people understand exactly of Whom they are referring: the Son of God and His most holy mother.
On top of that, Our Lady is pictured
with a cigar hanging out of her mouth.
And last but not least
a smaller picture on the left shows a traditionally veiled Mary, nine months pregnant, with her robe pulled up over her most holy womb, swearing with a four-letter word as she looks with implied anger, irritation, and revolt at her pregnant belly.
My friend, how can we just ignore this? We cant!
Godless, impure, sexual, and mocking language, comments, and opinions are made throughout the entire page especially directed against Our Ladys ever-virginity.
So we must defend Marys honor.
Tell Facebooks Mark Zuckerberg: Take Down This Page!
If tens of thousands of Catholics pray and speak up, we hope and pray Facebook will enforce its hate-speech policy and remove this blasphemous page.
Weve been successful in getting YouTube to remove many blasphemous videos in the past!
Remember: The Facebook Policies/Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, Category 3 (Safety), item 7, says:
You will not post content that is hate speech
And Facebook clarifies what they consider to be Hate Speech on their Community Standards page:
Facebook distinguishes between serious and humorous speech we do not permit individuals or groups to attack others based on their religion
And yet, here is an entire page devoted to blaspheming and mocking Our Ladys holy and divine pregnancy.
And with the evident intent to demean and insult the faith of Catholics.
Isnt that "hate speech"?
It is in my book.
Thank you for speaking out. And may Our Lord Jesus Christ reward you!

The concept of free speech in the nation's founding documents recognized that we are a nation Under God, and that our rights flow from the faith that we are a created people, and that some rights are God-given, not granted by the whim of other humans, who change their minds. God's grace is eternal and unchanging; and on that understanding arose the Bill of Rights.
These days, people who believe there is no God want to use the free speech principle that was intended for a people that honored "Nature and Nature's God" to make other people ashamed of their defense of their rights. The same First Amendment also granted freedom of religion. We cannot keep any of our Bill of Rights freedoms if we are not prepared to defend them.
Why? On a conservative Forum, do you think only Catholics should be offended by any misappropriation of the symbols of Western civilization's moral foundations to promote A) abortion or B) hatred?
Because it would label it as it truely is.
ie.. Post #1 and the posters history, just for starters. Post #6 was even disputed by #7 as this whole thing isnt about Jesus but about Mary.
And it would have not wasted my time and yours responding to me, but, here we are.
Who would be aborted then, if NOT Our Lord? And are attacks against Jesus and His Mother of concern ONLY to Catholics? This is an ACTIVISM post, not a religious post.
Yes, indeed it is!
And because I know that you dearly love Our Lady and the Mother of Jesus, I believe that you will help us put a stop to this terrible sacrilege."
Yes, thank you. The above is not accurate, then...the link calls it an assault on Mary. I recognize you aren't the author, however.
So, let me understand your defense of your position: you're saying that people who aren't Catholic should be okay with offensive disrespect to Jesus' mother?
You can say what you think I said all day long.
These pages are sickening. It looks like they have been up for over a year. I wonder why fb has not taken them down by now.
Here's what I say: Who died and made you Religion Moderator?
“Yes, and the Allies merely prayed for Hitler, who was silly and pathetic; and soon all was well. Oh, wait...”
Except that we’re talking about losers attacking God here NOT other men.
To the point od asskicking; You’ll get your chance probably where you live probably in less than 30 months. Probably...
Who’s the people who came up with those pages?
I dont think God appreciates this kind of thing at all, but He also says "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." That message is said loud and clear (with several minor variations) in numerous Bible passages.
If you want my personal opinion, I think the best way to fight this kind of assault is to, firstly, pray. Secondly, sponsor or produce a BETTER facebook page that either refutes or shows up theirs in a kinder, more easy to understand, more humorous and clever way. Incidentally, laughing at the ludicrousness of sin and sinners is usually very effective. "The devil, the proud spirit, cannot abide scorn" (Milton).
It so happens I'm not a Catholic either.
Probably because nobody bothered to access them, and those that did were so appalled they didnt bother to subscribe to them. Course, a huge campaign to remove it will change that very quickly.
Letting FB know that a page is offensive is not "raging." It's a matter of fact. If enough people did it, they might pay attention. It certainly worked for Chick-fil-A, for Cracker Barrel, and at Harvard when they tried to host a Satanic Mass -- they were overwhelmed with emails from all over the country. Just not buying your excuse for coming on here just to say "poo poo."
Well two responses seem possible as I see it:
OH WOW NOW WE REALLY ARE SO SO OFFENDED LET’S SCREAM TO THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD
or
Well, what pitiful people; they’re cruising for a divine bruising and we know it’s only going to be a matter of time till they get it, unless they repent; let’s pray, and meantime keep on believing what we know is true.
So in that vein, I'll just simply say I didn't enter this discussion just to say "poo poo".

“4 When arguing with fools, dont answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as foolish as they are. 5 When arguing with fools, be sure to answer their foolish arguments, or they will become wise in their own estimation”
Verse 4 and 5 seem to contradict each other...yet it may be more of a degree sort of thing. Some things fools may spout off about may just need to be ignored. There are other things fools say or do that just are so evil and obnoxious that these fools must be confronted...and confronted with a number of like minded compatriots in such a way as to shame and to put to silence such fools.
