Like I said, I use the Bible:
Matthew 18: Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
No it’s not a given.
I think that Alison Grimes is in favor, not just of abortion, but of late term abortion.
That is the McConnell opponent that some want Christians to vote for.
Really?? You think The Lord is going to look at our voting record to determine our status as a Christian?
The GOP is NOT GOD.
You are wanting to treat a symptom and not the root cause of a genocide.
Point someone to the path of righteousness and teach them "This is the way, walk in it".
If we spent our time teaching our kids to keep their pants on, to be faithful in marriage - and chaste beforehand, to put the onus of SHAME back in society, you would do far more to END abortion as an industry than voting for a politician WHO WILL DO NOTHING TO STOP IT!!!!!
No wonder this nation is in decline. Everyone looks to government to solve the problem.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has denounced a federal court ruling that Kentucky must recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states.
McConnell criticized the decision by U.S. District Judge John Heyburn to strike down a 1998 Kentucky law and a 2004 amendment to the state’s constitution defining marriage as between a man and a woman, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported.
Calling himself a “traditionalist,” McConnell said, “I will continue to support traditional marriage and fight to make sure that Kentuckians define marriage as we see fit, and never have a definition forced on us by interests outside of our state.”
Alison Grimes is not a tea party conservative. She is the democrat candidate for the US Senate.
You’re getting hammered in this thread, but I know what you’re saying.
Recent history is probably the best indicator of which is better for conservatism; Leftist or RINO — an easier gamble when it concerns a Congressional seat.
Name a single person on this thread who said that. I didn't even see anyone who said don't vote for McConnell, but I could have missed a few. The bottom line, if you are pro-life, is that McConnell is going to be working for the pro-abortion side. If you are pro-life, what are you going to do about it? If McConnell has his way, the Supreme Court won't have a single pro-life vote in 10 years. Those stupid rating organizations give out have as much validity as telephone psychics. They are there to allow all politicians to con people into voting for them.
Your vote is a decision you make. Your decisions say who you are.
A vote for abortion will be abhorrent in the eyes of God.
Mt 18: Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
Well, if McConnell wins by a slim margin, maybe that would force a change in leadership. That would be a good trial balloon to float.
What did Harry Reid do about NOT being able to get judges approved?
There might be good reasons about McConnell’s strength not to have him be the majority leader. Also, if Mississippi retires Cochran and installs McDaniels, a Cruz type conservative, then a small coalition of Cruz, Lee, McDaniels, Sessions, and a few other conservatives could tip a vote away from McConnell if he runs.
Of course, there won’t be a vote for majority leader if Grimes wins in Kentucky. Republicans need to pick up 6 seats and lose none.
Lose McConnell’s seat and they need to win 7. Where will it come from?
Mt 18 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
I agree. Grimes is as pro-abortion as it gets. Grimes said in an interview that she was pro-choice down the line on abortion. I don’t see her as having a chance of winning when 67% of Kentucky think that abortion should be illegal.
I do hope that McConnell will step down from his leadership position.
So how is writing in a Pro-life Tea Party Conservative in November instead of Voting for Mitch McConnell ‘a vote for abortion’????
Show me any proof that voting for politicians has stopped abortion.
You can’t.
You want to stop abortion? Voting isn’t the answer.
Teaching people God’s Way IS.
You can write in whomever you want.
That is not voting for Grimes.
You mean mcConnel aint a demorat?
Given your attitude, your name is so incredibly appropriate. If you like symbolism and care little about substance, McConnell at all costs.
If the Republic has any hope at all, we will have a majority without McConnell, because a majority with him is darn near meaningless.
>> I do hope that McConnell will step down from his leadership position
That could help his campaign if the position is conferred to a respectable conservative by summer’s end.
