NEW YORK – The office of Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has issued a statement to WND firing back against any suggestion that his participation in a conference call Wednesday held by a group that supports immigration reform indicates he favors amnesty for illegal aliens.
“Sen. Rand Paul never embraced amnesty on the call,” his office stated in an email. “Sen. Paul has never advocated for amnesty in any other forum and he voted against the Senate immigration bill.

A column by Paul on immigration was published by Breitbart News Thursday morning. Paul writes that he’s “for immigration reform because I am against allowing 12 million more illegal immigrants into our country.”
“If we do nothing, 12 million more illegal immigrants will come. We must be in favor of reform — smart reform that starts with border security,” he says.
Then he states emphatically: “Characterizing that position as ‘amnesty’ is simply untrue.”
Paul says the status quo “is a lawless border.”

Rand Paul is EVERY BIT AS DUPLICITOUS AS ERIC CANTOR. And don’t doubt that he is now and will continue to be for AMNESTY even though he may use different names for it to hide what he supports.
If there is anyone on this Forum who still supports Rand Paul for President, let them speak now... (so they can be summarily zotted into outer darkness).

O.K., Paul, if you really mean that, meet with immigration enforcement groups to come up with a proposal, rather than meeting with amnesty groups. Lead an effort to shut down any future vote on “comprehesive immigration reform” until the border has been secured to the satisfaction of NumbersUSA, FAIR, and Alipac. Then we can talk about a guest worker program.

Seems to have a problem with that foot in mouth disease. I like Sen Paul, but I can’t do the open borders thing. And that’s where he’s coming from.
I honestly don’t think Sen Cruz will be on the ballot. At least by the time the VA gop has monkeyed with the ballot. So, it’s looking less and less likely that I’ll be participating in the electoral sham in 2016.

Is this true? I thought we already had laws and a border patrol (albeit, LEOs with their hands tied,) already in place.
Rand is simply not being truthful about the political facts and opportunism on this illegal immigration nightmare.
