It's interesting that Ted Cruz was born a tri-Citizen. People need to realize that Mr. Cruz obtained his Cuban citizen from his father who had not yet naturalized at the time Ted was born. That is a fact. It is being reported that he officially renounced his Canadian Citizenship today but what about his Cuban Citizenship inherited from his father Rafael? Why is this being ignored by the media as well as his supporters? Don't get me wrong, I like Ted Cruz but this issue needs to be addressed.
No-one ever called me an American.

Norte Americano is also common.
Apparently, Obama didn’t have a “problem”, he’s been the POTUS for six years now.
Your title isn’t the only thing that’s about to be altered. Prepare for molecular scrambulation.
Shame on us, if we don't value our country. Maybe to you the world has no borders and we are all one country, but sadly there are real life consequences to your United Nations philosophy.
Good gosh man, just look it up, it is much easier than what ever this game is that you are playing.
How have you managed to be here 13 years and go through two Romney presidential cycles over the last 8 years, and not already know all this?
Maybe you’re an obsequious little turd.
Article 2 Section 1 specifically calls for a ‘natural born Citizen’ to be president, not a Citizen. See John Jay’s letter to George Washington when framing the presidential clause.
That is what I say to people who bring up Obama, “you mean two term president of the United States Obama?”
obsequious = I believe the Constitution means what bit says it means, not whatever Obama’s whim is when he wakes up every morning.
Your posting history doesn’t reflect that statement very well.
CATO Institute”
“So the one remaining question is whether Ted Cruz was a citizen at birth. Thats an easy one. The Nationality Act of 1940 outlines which children become nationals and citizens of the United States at birth. In addition to those who are born in the United States or born outside the country to parents who were both citizens or, interestingly, found in the United States without parents and no proof of birth elsewhere citizenship goes to babies born to one American parent who has spent a certain number of years here.
That single-parent requirement has been amended several times, but under the law in effect between 1952 and 1986 Cruz was born in 1970 someone must have a citizen parent who resided in the United States for at least 10 years, including five after the age of 14, in order to be considered a natural-born citizen. Cruzs mother, Eleanor Darragh, was born in Delaware, lived most of her life in the United States, and gave birth to little Rafael Edward Cruz in her 30s. Q.E.D.
So why all the brouhaha about where Obama was born, given that theres no dispute that his mother, Ann Dunham, was a citizen? Because his mother was 18 when she gave birth to the future president in 1961 and so couldnt have met the 5-year-post-age-14 residency requirement. Had Obama been born a year later, it wouldnt have mattered whether that birth took place in Hawaii, Kenya, Indonesia, or anywhere else. (For those born since 1986, by the way, the single citizen parent must have only resided here for five years, at least two of which must be after the age of 14.)
In short, it may be politically advantageous for Ted Cruz to renounce his Canadian citizenship before making a run at the White House, but his eligibility for that office shouldnt be in doubt. As Tribe and Olson said about McCain and couldve said about Obama, or the Mexico-born George Romney, or the Arizona-territory-born Barry Goldwater Cruz is certainly not the hypothetical foreigner who John Jay and George Washington were concerned might usurp the role of Commander in Chief.”
I looked it up. George Romney was born in Mexico.
Since the question you were looking up was whether his parents and he were American citizens, you still seem confused.
Dear Concern Troll,
What your hair is doing is caused by a voltage spike...
Since Ted Cruz never participated in a naturalization ceremony to become a citizen, ipso facto he is a natural born citizen. There is only two categories of citizens, natural born and naturalized. Since Ted Cruz was never naturalized, and his mother was an American citizen, he is a natural born citizen, since there is no third category, period. Since the same people who wrote and ratified the Constitution also defined what a citizen is in 1790, either natural born or naturalized.
Kewl! I had always wondered what would happen when you put a ginger tabby and a VanDeGraff generator together. Now I know.
