Put the blame where it belongs: squarely on Bush and the demented neocon geniuses who destabilized the entire middle east because Richard Perle, Bill Kristol, John Bolton, and the WSJ editorial board thought it would be cool to harness 9/11 outrage by kicking Saddam’s ass. We can thank them for the extinction of Christian communities and islamic radicalization from Libya to Pakistan.

A government that can’t defend itself any better than that against a group of terrorists isn’t sustainable.
This seems to me to be part of the general fight between Shiites and Sunnis playing out in Syria and elsewhere.
I say let them kill each other to their hearts’ content. Maybe use the Turkish airbase at Incirlik to bomb juicy terrorist targets in northern Iraq as well.
But no ground troops.

To the headline, I reply. Really? Who is the Caliph?
Obviously the news out of western Iraq and eastern Syria is bad, but calling a region that has fallen under the control of an armed band intent on enforcing its vision of Sharia as “Caliphate” is at best imprecise and at worst misses the point that the Sunni world is the chaotic hell-hole it has become in part because there is no Caliph, no central religious authority who could put a stop to every Abudul, Mohammed and Omar from setting up his own blood-soaked interpretation of Shariah.
Obama’s only “concern” is that he has yet to be publicly given the title of Caliph of the new caliphate in Iraq. Perhaps his bros in the Brotherhood lied to him.
I guess we can thank Hillary for failing to secure a Status of Forces agreement, right?
I expect the press to savage her for that in 3...2...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
