Eric Cantor’s Primary Loss Is a Political Earthquake. And It’s Awful.
Daily Beast ^ | June 10, 2014 | Michael Tomasky

How did the No. 2 man in the House lose a primary? Chalk it up to immigration and the Tea Party. It’s one of the most shocking losses in U.S. electoral history—and it’s bad for America. Here’s the thing: Eric Cantor did not fall asleep in this race. He spent around $5 million. He ran lots of TV ads. He knew this was going to be a close one. He campaigned. And he still got creamed.

And here’s the other thing: Cantor was not an enemy of the Tea Party. He was in fact the Tea Party’s guy in the leadership for much of the Barack Obama era. He carried the tea into the speaker’s office. And still he got creamed.

We’ll see on the numbers, but it’s a good possibility that there was significant cross-over.

Cantor was a lock in November. Now, the seat is up for grabs. Expect a bazillion dollars of “Tea Party nutjob hates immigrant children” ads.

Why is he pouring so much energy into the notion that Cantor was LOVED by Tea party folks..?

Because they’re worried that lib voters will be intrigued and inspired by a Tea Party defeat of a man they HATED:

THIS way the old, “Tea Party = GOP & GOP = Tea Party” narrative goes undisturbed.

It’s a way to shut down new interest in the Tea Party.

Cantor flip flopped and lost. Graham flip flopped and won. Why? South Carolina has an open primary, so Democrats can help choose the GOP candidate. After Graham wins, he will keep the Democrats happy who voted for him.

The Republicans in SC are not conservatives or they would change this.

I think cantor’s big mistake was to blindly follow the barfly Weeper of the House, Boehner - one down, and one to go.

The only goddamned immigration problem we have is that no one in the GOP in DC has the nerve to enforce current laws designed to make the crooks self deport.

The pro illegal alien crowd is nothing more than a bunch of communist fronts allied with big business designed to screw the middle class from both sides.

Hell no, time to fight the communists and the blue bloods in the streets.

Degenerate little twerp Marco Rubio (who never held a real job in his life) and his minions in the RNC want to legalize 11 million criminal aliens and import another 20 million on top of that, further depressing the stagnant wages of the middle class that are being further eroded by higher taxes and the unprecedented grand theft of disposable income if you actually use your medical insurance to go to the Hospital.

All in the name of his ethnicity and his allegiance to the blue bloods and country clubbers who he sees as his ticket to more power.

Sociopaths like Rubio and that degenerate SCUMBAG REINCE PRIEBUS (who should have RESIGNED after losing to the communists) make me want to vomit.

Seek mental help RNC , or join the communist party USA, they have the same position on illegal immigration as you do.

“Open primary”

That’s what I’m thinking - bunch of dems vote for the “weak” Republican, and then the Dem wins the final election. I hope we are wrong.

Michael Tomasky (born 1960) is a liberal American columnist, journalist and author. He is the editor in chief of Democracy, a special correspondent for Newsweek / The Daily Beast, a contributing editor for The American Prospect, and a contributor to The New York Review of Books.

So if Tomasky doesn’t like it, it must be very, VERY good.

We're in a coup d'etat. It's been covert, assisted by the Media Fifth Column up to now, but becomes more overt, day-by-day and week-by-week. I fear that by the time January 2017 arrives, Obama will not turn over power.

This liberal wack job writer tells you everything you need to know about Cantor. The libs loved Cantor so much they now are having a heart-attack because he lost. You know darn well they would not have had the same reaction if a true conservative had lost the primary. It is sickening to see how the establishment Republicans are totally in sync with the liberal commies.
