In a stunning upset propelled by tea party activists, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) was defeated in Tuesdays congressional primary, with insurgent David Brat delivering an unpredicted and devastating loss to the second most powerful Republican in the House who has widely been touted as a future speaker.

Great news!
Now let’s hope the RINOs don’t torpedo Brat in the general.
Hallelujah! Excellent news. Go Tea Party.
Yes Virginia, there is no more Cantor claws.
Yep. Likely Boehner stooge Kevin McCarthy of California will get the job.
Steve King of Iowa will not accept or campaign for the job.
I understand the Tea Party did nothing for Brat.
“I saw on another board the libs are already planning on donating to the D guy.”
Why wouldn’t they?
“To WaPo this is a devastating loss.....isnt that telling?”
Yep, sure is. What’s really interesting is that Brat flew under the radar for the entire race. Brat spent $120K while Cantor spent 5.2M. Polls were showing Cantor winning by about 14 points. But, he lost by 9 points, a 23 point swing. I’m thinking this is some insight into what may happen in the Nov elections - lots of surprises.
Now lets hope the RINOs dont torpedo Brat in the general.
That has been their mode of operation in past elections. I don’t see any signs of change. That is why the Republican Party does not get a dime from me.
Now if only Goober Grahmnesty were to fail.
out of state he will get lots of “extra” support to defeat the “tea party” guy. is what I meant to say.
again; notice how the left wing media refuses to capitalize Tea Party yet have no problem doing so with the smelly hippies of the occupy movement:

yay!
Unfortunately, Gayham wins. I hope South Carolinians are happy with their familiar crapbag. What a joke. Total letdown, especially with how well Mississippi did voting for McDaniel.
I heard there is no Rat challenger?
Just heard on Megan Kelly’s show, Laura Ingraham, said Brat couldn’t get Jennie Beth Martin from Tea Party Patriots to answer his call.
If the GOP doesn’t back him with money, then we need to. Instead of feeling helpless, write Dave a check.
The Tea Party candidates should have chosen one and endorsed him in order to defeat Graham. They divided the vote and Graham won.
The RPV is the Republican Party of Virginia.
This is great news...cleaning house indeed.
Lovely bit of understatement. I like it. And, wow, what a news story.
