Negroe assault troops on Saipan? What does that have to do with Normandy?
Political correct crap.
Yeah really. Disgusting
Like today I was doing a “D-Day” search for TV specials and of the only 3 listed, one was about “African Americans” and D-Day
Good grief
How can anyone do anything but stand up when they see this. I stand up every time I watch Band of Brothers when the go into the woods at night on their way to one month in the frozen ground in Bastogne
I’m all by myself midnight and I’m standing up
I can’t remember, until this time in our lives, that any Negroes were in the D-Day assault formations.

The American assault on Normandy was WHITE.
Don’t anyone forget it.
Every water-borne invasion during WWII was called D-Day. The assault on Saipan was D-Day at Saipan.
And ungrateful France has spit on us ever since. Of course they also forgot our sacrifice in WW1 also ....
My Uncle Richard parachuted into France on D-Day. He was killed on July 4, 1944 and is buried over there.
“The American assault on Normandy was WHITE.”
There was a reason for that at the time. What was the reason? During those days, the military didn’t think they could trust blacks to fight effectively. I know it sounds absurd now, but times have changed, and we’re all in this together now.
We cannot compare the perspectives of the past with those of current society.
