Gejdenson, according to Our Campaigns, prevailed by a beefy margin of 21 votes.

The GOP-Controlled House should have emulated the rats treatment of the Frank McCloskey (ironically a ‘94 loser) race in 1984 and refused to seat Gejdenson.

1984 was the last time that power was used, wasn’t it? Such a shame. The ‘96 Dornan race was the only one I know of that they investigated, and even then, they sat Sanchez in the meantime.

Allen West and Martha McSally should be in Congress right now.

It was the McCloskey seating in 1985 that inspired Gingrich to realize the Dem majority in the House was completely power-mad and needed to be brought down. What was unique about the race is that the House overrode the Indiana Secretary of State who certified the Republican winner (McIntyre). Of course, had incumbent GOP Rep. Joel Deckard not gotten into a drunk driving jam prior to the ‘82 election, McCloskey might’ve spent the rest of his career as moonbat Bloomington’s Mayor-for-Life.
