The U.S. Senate race in Iowa is a dead heat.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Iowa Voters finds Republican Joni Ernst, the winner of Tuesdays crowded party primary, with 45% support to Democratic Congressman Bruce Braleys 44%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate in the race, while nine percent (9%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 750 Likely Voters in Iowa was conducted on June 4-5, 2014 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
Not good enough. Hope she improves. She will need a wide margin to overcome both the election fraud and the glass ceiling of being the first woman legislator in the state sent to Washington.
True, but she was down by 8 in previous polling. Considering Rasmussen now has a more pro-dem sampling system than most, the fact she’s in a dead heat here is encouraging.
So I guess the Dem’s strategy of calling Joni a “chick” and telling Iowans that her talking about castrating hogs as a young pig farmer was “animal cruelty” didn’t work out too well...
I posted this question on another thread regarding Joni:
If she loses to the Democrat MAN, does this now mean there’s a Democrat “War On Women”???
From here on to November Joni needs to think twice, speak once.
Fear not!!! Rasmussen has jumped the shark, after it was sold by Scott Rasmussen, and joined the Obama traitor group of pollsters!!! Joni will do just fine....but she cannot make any political mistakes and needs to campaign every minute up to election day, November, 2014. She has a great chance of winning.
My optimism.....the low life lying Democrat pollsters told us it would be hard for Joni Ernst to get 35% of the vote. Obamabots dead wrong.....she got 57% of the primary votes cast!!! Onward!!!
What makes Iowa even a battleground state? A lot of Union, universities voters? Seems like it should be more favorable to the Repub column.
Yep, and that would apply to every other potential Todd Akin or Richard Mourdock out there who thinks the will of the Tea Party will overcome any gaffe they commit.
The same can be said for several other, one-time "red" states as well. Entitlement class, unions, godlessness, the allure of "free" stuff... it all adds up after awhile.
Very nice. Hope it lasts.
Good to hear. I forget how disreputable “Rasmussen” has now become. Thanks for the encouraging reminder.
To the latter, I've detected no such "glass ceiling" in Iowa. Not a problem. This woman has shown the chutzpah necessary to quell any associated subliminal bias. So the real problem will be keeping the campaign consultants from channeling her good sense into political mush.
I think farm subsidies play a large role. Gotta get that gubmint paycheck.
Move Iowa into tossup now. The party has coalesced and Braley is in trouble
Western Iowa is conservative.
Eastern Iowa not so much.
When the good people of Iowa learn the truth about Bergdahl, as well as being upset over Obamacare, this might map out to a 5% to 10% boost in people voting for Joni.
Christians need to pray for her! Prayers really do work!
She needs to be ahead by at least ten points for it to be close.
After the debacle with the Republican caucuses a few years ago, I don’t have much hope for Iowa.
It doesn’t matter how you vote, just who counts the votes.
Go all in for Joni.
