Fox News reporter James Rosen claimed intelligence sources have told him not only that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl willingly collaborated with the Taliban, but that his involvement with the terrorist group may be as serious as you can imagine.
Rosen spoke with Bill OReilly Wednesday night about his ongoing conversations with intelligence and Pentagon officials regarding both old and new investigations into Bergdahls likely desertion and possibly treasonous activities.
My reporting has shown that the intelligence community also undertook a separate [from the Army] investigation of Sgt. Bergdahl, Rosen explained, both his final period of active duty that culminated in that mysterious evening, and also his conduct over the past five years, which is said to have been a period of captivity.
Alright, now why would you say the intelligence, I assume thats defense intelligence, the CIA, all those people why would they bother investigating a sergeant who was taken captive? OReilly asked. I mean, why would they spend those resources?
Well, with greatest proximity, because they were tasked with doing so, Rosen responded cagily. But my reporting on this is that there are many inside the intelligence community who harbor outstanding concerns not just that Sgt. Bergdahl may have been a deserter, but that he became an active collaborator with the enemy.
The reporter reiterated information regarding Bergdahls emails, the packing up of his personal effects, his failure to take certain equipment with him before he left his post and anecdotal evidence from Taliban commanders including how Bergdahl taught Islamist fighters how to reprogram a mobile phone into an IED.
The last thing I will tell you is Im still working on this story, Im talking to a broad range of sources in and out of the government, in and out of the military, Rosen explained. And all I will say is, there are many forms that active collaboration can take. Im investigating claims that it could go as serious as you could imagine.
Legend has it, the Israelis are very good at cell phones. Example.
what I don’t get , and from what I am reading , is that if we knew where he often was being held ( in Pak) and felt sure he had not only deserted , but was also collaborating and advising the Taliban/Haqqanis , why we did not lay an air strike in on him/them and just utterly destroy the entire lots of them , including the traitor ? It would have been great loss . No one would have ever known his fate, or if the Talib had reported it , we could just say “ Oooops !”
Why was he allowed to live and collaborate , for so long ?
Whose screw up was that ? Where was our sharp sword ?
we are all going to have to help , in any way you can...
Who has been in the White House since this man went missing? There you go!
it’s time for a complete override
I am guessing they did not ask him. He is not as important to them as getting 5 psycho leaders back.
maybe bergdahl was a useful tool for the obozo gang.
Notice how well shaved he looks? And doesn’t seem emaciated.
According to Ollie North, something between $5-6 million changed hands.
It’s late at night.
My nightime meds are kicking in.
Before I went to bed I was going to say something important and relevant and clever in response to this new info about Bergdahl, but my mind simply won’t stop thinking of him (and his father) as “Beard’n’all” [Beard-and-all].
In my current state it does sound kinda close to “Bergdahl” if you sort of slur it all together with a Southern drawl and don’t listen too closely. But then, I’m a highly trained professional at these sorts of things, and suggest strongly that you don’t try this at home unless you have someone with you who knows what they are doing.
I believe this scandal is finally one that has legs, and that it will still be there in the morning, strutting around like Travolta in Saturday NIght Fever. We’ll pick up where we left off then. Sweet dreams.
Ain't it the truth.
I have seen from the Long War Journal profile of Mohammed Nabi Omari that he seems to have extensive contacts with Haqqani, but the others are not noted as having similar contacts.

Still, there has to be much more to this deal than we are seeing. That would almost go without saying.
Likely because he didn’t think we knew what he was up to.
And he’s a nut case...
Even simpler....
A simple amplifier circuit hooked into the headset jack and set a rather loud ring tone.
You could even set it to trigger using specific number by setting the default ring tone to silent and use a specified contact number in the contacts list to be the loud ring tone...
No opening up a phone a soldering required. Just get a burner phone set a few options plug it in and no false calls can trigger it.
(Note: the above text is not a statement of intent. But merely an example of how technology can be abused)
Day-um!
Note to self: never, ever get on Southack’s bad side. He has ways!

Now that I think about it, yes, I suppose there are sophisticated explosives that could be packaged in a cellphone that would, if ignited, cause physical damage to the head. I do not, however, think of it as a bomb, destroying a large area.
According to an early radio transcript of Taliban chatter. They thought Bergdahl was some kind of “bigshot” with all the assets they were seeing deployed to find him.
Obviously not.
Although somebody would have needed to scrape those brains off the walls, inshallah.
The neat thing about cell phone bombs is, the assassin can interview the victim and verify his identity. E.g.,
Caller: Are you Sheik Abdul-Aziz Al Skyhook?Callee: Um, yes.
Caller: Would you like to see Allah?
Callee: Who is this?
Caller: *0#
“My question is why would he come back? “
Oswald came back from the Soviet Union didn’t he?
Terrorists have been setting off IEDs for years, especially in Iraq so they probably already knew this. Someone who may have been in the army more recently may know if the US Army teaches it’s soldiers how to do this? I don’t think so (except for SF) so where did he learn to do it and why? A lot of questions.
