Not all of this can be an oversight:
1. Obama goes to Afghanistan on a surprise visit. 2. CIA Station Chief is outed (oops). 3. A deal is made for a known deserter they didn't know was a deserter with possible Talibani leanings (oops). 4. WH forgets to tell Congress (oops. 5. WH frees five top terrorists, allegedly transfers $5M into the enemy's bank account, and brings Bergdahl home.
I know Michelle Malkin cruises FR. You can't fire the CIA Chief of Station for disagreeing with the trade, but if you out him its the same thing, right?
Is there a functioning journalist out there that might possibly tie all of this together for us?
They were drawn up because he kept Whittaker Chambers out of prison, and embarrassed the Washington Post and other liberal icons in the process.
Obama will never be impeached. Realize that now. Washington is a cesspool with very, very few good guys.

This swap plan was super iffy.
The nightstalker and all of Obama’s other whacko lefty lickspittles at the very top of DC LOVED the idea, and every time they bounced it off of someone in DC with practical FIELD EXPERIENCE they got HORRIBLE feedback:

The Regime decide they need the impression from their top man in Kabul and for security reasons they fly there to have a powwow in person —he blanches and LOATHES the swap plan, and he screams exactly that in so few words.

Their top guy has to leave Afghanistan, but The Regime has succeeded in getting rid of a prominent obstacle.

I agree with all but number 3. I think they knew both.
You are missing one more important detail(#6?): John Brennan, Director of the CIA is muslim.
Here’s why I think there’s something else to it:
It’s not a swap.
Bergdahl was likely training the Taliban in US tactics and methods. There seems to be plenty of evidence of that. One big piece of evidence is that he’s alive. That’s apparently a first.
It’s not a swap. It’s something like what FDR did with the Brits in WWII with the ‘Lend-Lease’ thing:
1. You give us a US ‘prisoner’.
2. I’ll give you back your top 5 guys.
3. I’ll give you cash.
The ‘prisoner’s’ last act of treason is to agree to be swapped. Even Bergdahl’s dad has apparently gone Islam. Bergdahl comes home a free man. No court martial, $300K in back pay, and a promotion.
As I type this I don’t, maybe can’t, believe it. One thing I DEFINITELY don’t believe is that Obama is stupid. They aren’t. He won in 2012. Sorry, but you can’t be stupid, have the record he did in his first admin and win.
As such, a journalist needs to look at this.

That would be the surprise visit for the troops of which Karzai was unaware.
Bet that’s when Obama informed Karzai of the swap. Not hard to gauge Karzai’s first reaction. Wonder how many $$$$ had to be transferred to K’s account.
Agree! That was the first thing that came to mind when I heard about the “coincidence”.
Both Al Qaeda and the Taliban have tried to kill Karzai in the past. Talk about a thumb in Karzai’s eye.
It’s not clear to me Karzai knows why he’s coming. When I heard he refused to meet with Obama, I just chalked that up to world leaders knowing meeting with the US President doesn’t buy much anymore.
I actually chuckled when I heard it.

Not just the chief can loose his life, everyone he associated with can also loose their lives.
I’ve heard someone say the number of peoples lives now at risk is at least in the dozens and their families lives are also at risk now.

You fire the station chief, people ask why. He gets outed, then he did something to really hack off somebody with juice. The admin outs him.
We don’t know anything at this point. It just seems like the press is trying to whack up all of the events to make it look like they are mutually exclusive.
Wikipedia does not have it, and after just checking, it is still considered unconfirmed. I thought it was more solid. I’ll have to keep looking.
I want to know what was so urgent it needed him to fly over there when each of those could have been handled over the phone or by an underling.

Both would be the case if the GOP had gonads and if there were a handful of honest to goodness real Americans among the Democrats in the Senate.
And there is only one fitting punishment for treason in time of war...
Having some low-level admin geek leak the Chief’s name would be the perfect way to get this guy on the next plane home. They’d ship him out and send his stuff back next week.
Obama doesn’t have to answer questions about why he had him fired. Get’s around that immediately and makes sure the guy stays quiet and under the radar, just to protect his family.
